I have been told by one of the staff members that the kids do not play along the back field which they use for baseball nor along the other side of the school yard. I do know this is faults because I myself have caught a couple of the kids coming up to our back fence to not only take pumpkins that do not belong to them but to also yet again pester our dogs. I have also seen kids during P.E playing around the back field which is directly towards the back end of our house.

Edit: The teachers for the most part are supportive and will keep an open communication in regards to your child's academic and behavioral progress. However, the administration lacks communication skills and sincerity about the best interest of a child. They use educational codes against a child, instead of interventions and parental involvement. I recommend for you to first meet with the administration, and ask a variety of questions pertaining to academics, disclipine, parental involvement and communication.

This school just keeps getting better and better. The principal is excited about the new school year and implementing 'Character Counts' throughout the school. Teachers are always available to help the students and communicate with parents when asked. After school elective classes like campus beautification, ultimate Frisbee, medieval arts, and more kept my child happily staying after school all last year. New booster clubs are popping up each year to assist in the costs of great programs, and parent participation just keeps growing. Student safety issues are continually improving. The best way to get the most from this school is to jump right in, communicate openly with the teachers and staff, and to be actively involved.

There just isn't enough challenge for the kids. The academic emphasis seems to be dropping, and it shows in their scores.

With the help of the Los Coyotes faculty, my 7th grade son has and continues to develop the learning skills and habits necessary to achieve top grades in essentially all of his courses. My wife and I thank the entire Los Coyotes staff for their professional dedication and would like to remind any parent(s) reading this that true instructional leadership begins at home. Overall, the hours of student-teacher contact are somewhat limited, which requires parents, mentors and family members to make themselves available to assist in the learning process. Being a positive role model for life-long learning and continuous improvement also includes learning how to communicate (write).

overall this school is satisfactory, although i wonder about how much the staff is interested in alternative teaching and a better variety of programs. would like to see the kids more turned on to learning by finding out what gets them jazzed. like fine arts and more family oriented activity nights.

My son is A.D.D. and was having problems with the classes he was attending when he transferred. I was able to talk with the principal and her staff members and get my son into classes that best fit his need. Thank you so much Los Coyotes for working with us and helping my child feel better about himself. He is so much happier.
