Edgewood Academy is a great School! The Principal, Vice Principal, Teachers, and Staff are all wonderful. They treat everybody, from parents to students, with love, kindness, and respect. They have very clean classrooms and surroundings. The school also provide their students with the right kind of love and discipline, and the most important thing of all... they provide quality education to their students. WAY TO GO EDGEWOOD!!!

Our family loves Edgewood. Were having a great experience this year. The principal Mr. C really cares about the kids and the school. There is a big difference since he came to the school. We have a great teacher too

the staff is very rude in the front office. ms.fuentes should have more of a postive attitude instead of being very rude to the students and 'fake' infront of parents(students claim that she is very nice when parents are around and wont show any signs of rudeness or attitude

I am currently attending Edgewood Academy. I like the staff there so friendly to you, the teachers really do show leadership and they do teach the kids more than other teachers do. One finall note if they didn't teach your kids anything then why were they named 2008-2009 California Distinguished School only 150 schools throughout the state of California get this award. We'll miss you Mr.Newell

I was skeptical at first with this school, but i find it has been beneficial with my two jr. high kids. My son encountered a problem with another student last year and it was resolved immediately and effectively. The teachers are great and involved. I have to say Ms. Chen rocks!

I am a parent and have children currently at this school and really think that Edgewood has a great staff of teachers. Edgewood Academy has a great principal, Mr. Newell who is very much involved in each of the students. He has made a great impression on the school and really shows great leadership.

I have not been very happy with the education that my daughter is receiving at Edgwood. I assumed that it would be a better school because of the name. I was wrong. Also, crowded classrooms, therefore students are treated more like a number than an individual.

About the tests


In 2012-2013 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

The different student groups are identified by the California Department of Education; if there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.
