Nogales High School is a great school where teachers do care! The grades reflect on students effort and parent involvement with their student.Nogales provides all needed resources for a student to succeed..it's up to the student and parent to get on the ball..
Nogales high school is the best school.... they have great teaches and students .. they have the cheerleaders chaps for 2 years . Band won first place.... the dance team is doin a great job. GO NOBLES
School is filled with both incapable teachers and students. Students refuse to learn and teachers have difficulty teaching. Sports are the only things they have left.
as a current student at nogales i really believe that this school is one the worst schools in the state of california. the administration is focused more on the football program than education. the nogales football team rarely wins more than two games a season, the baseball and basketball teams are the best sports we have, but these sports do not get any compared to what is spent on the football team. the administrators focus on foot ball for their own personal pleasure.
sad day for high schools when you look at nogales hs
Although nogales high school has a reputation of being a bad school, it is all wrong. Like society, it is the few bad groups that gives the whole a bad name, which is why nogales has been given a bad reputation. When you talk to the students dedicated in their shcool work, you see that they plan to achieve a future, and nogales helps provide this with their good selection of classes. They even offer the IB program, which is not common among high schools, and they have great teachers teaching the AP/IB courses as well
NHS is an alright school, it has many great programs for the students and in all of California NHS puts in the most amount of high school graduates into UCLA. The teachers there are great. The only reason why NHS appears to seem as an inadequate school is because some of the students simply do not care. If a student wants to well he/she will. Not only that the media is constantly giveing the school a bad rep. for pathetic crimes that happen two-three blocks away, it is ridiculous. They automaticly blame the school that had no part in any of it. Just because a school just so happens to be in a 'bad area' it does not mean that it is also a bad school.
Bad organized school, would not recomend it,the kids cannoot show intrest to learm whe the teachers dont show intrest to teach
I am a substitute teacher and I have taught at both high schools in the district. The difference between Nogales and Rowland High is like night and day. Nogales students have no school pride at all. During lunch they will throw their trash on the ground or leave it where it is rather than put it in the trash can right next to them. The staff does the best they can but unfortunately the majority of the students treat the campus the same as their studies. They just don't care, which is too bad as their are some really great students in the school.
What a terrible school. Highly disorganized, very dirty, poor teacher quality, and it definitely needs some upgrading. The school has a reputation for a reason. I felt like I was in a school built in the 1700s and has never seen renovation.
