For the last person, there was less than 4 students in each grade that made honor roll the last quarter. The 6th grade didn't have any students that made honor roll. Something isn't working at St. Joseph. So disappointing.

I am thinking of sending my son to St. Joseph. My Catholic faith is strong and morality is not an issue. The one thing that the site fails to post is academic standing. Most reviews demonstrate a deficiency. How many students make honor roll and what is that percentage of the school. The school site mentions academic excellence but there are no statistical numbers to support their claims.

This is a great school to have your children in. The sisters including the principal really care about the students and teach them wonderful things academically and morally. My daughter has progressed so much and her moral values have gotten better. I see examples at home many times that honestly shes not getting from us but from school and I am very grateful for that. Im glad I took her out from public schooling while she was still little.

The. children have no outlets there are very little school activities were they can be themselves and just have fun. Although they are very strong in religious education the kids do not have activities to where they develop healthy friendships and know what it is to work together. Parents are always willing to help and give new ideas but the principal is not responsive and gives a indirect answer of No. The principles idea of parent involvement is when she asked for volunteers to run her own ideas.

Saint Joseph is a Catholic school but the students do not reflect this theme. There is such a lax policy on bullying, although it is addressed in the handbook, the principal does not always enforce the policy. They are behind technologically and mathematically. The principal has the worst perception of what the best interest for students should be. The principal also has the worst social skills and does not know how to work with parents she knows how to indirectly shut them down.

The administration is not responsive to changing times or valid concerns of parents. Over the years there has been a steady decline in academic excellence. The students are not well prepared for various life challenges, especially rigors of high school

St. Joseph is has held on to values and the standards of education that are so desperately needed in todays society. There is structure, uniforms, and a code of conduct that is upheld as well as allowing the students to express themselves through the arts and their feelings through their faith. The carmelite sisters are great with the children and provide a very loving atmosphere. There is tutoring and the teachers are more than willing to provide resources for additional help or extra credit. I highly recommendy this gem of a school.

St. Joseph is a great school. Everybody is friendly and all the students and teachers pretty much know each other. The teachers here are wonderful. They communicate to the parents and have so much compassion with their students. I highly recommend this school.

We truly appreciate the education & experience that my kids received here.St. Joseph truly challenged the students to be on their own person & stick out among the crowds. The atmosphere here is friendly, respectful & caring. The setting is peaceful & family-like. Safety has never been a problem.Security is outstanding.Well worth the tuition.

Decent & very modest school we've ever been. Your children will learn a lot esp. dealing with different kind of people in a real world! They have an all around principal.

It's a great school with a lot of potential if parents are willing to get involved both at school and at home. It's a partnership bet. parents, faculty & teachers that makes one excellent school to be better.

St, J's had really changed,I'm responding to those parents who 're judging too quickly. They have a new principal which does'nt have a laxed policy on bullying, In fact, If the student we're doing that kind of attitude they will get suspended or immediately be out of this school. My son graduated here and he's taking honors & accelerated subjects at Bishop amat.I believe wherever we go, Parents are the 1st educators/teachers of our child, isn't it????

St. Joseph has a New Principal who is really open for a Big Changes! If there's a partnership between parents and school Why not? We're giving her a chance & we knew she can do it.

I had hoped that things had changed at this school since my last child was there. I read the online reviews & felt that maybe I was too quick to judge. I should stick to my gut feelings. St.J's does not prepare kids for high school ! My child went to Bishop Amat & boy did we have a challenge on our hands! We spent so much money on math tutors! And I was not alone, several parents from my childs class were in the same boat. My second time around my little one was there a very short time. I can't beleive that a school that preaches 'Christian Love' has such a laxed policy on bulling. We wereout of there in less then 3 months. Not only are we happier at our new school, but I truly feel that my childs best interest is the main focus at our new school.

Arguably, an excellent catholic school! Teachers are dedicated and demand excellence from their pupils. Academics are balanced with a plethora of after school programs & christian community services.

Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students.
