love this school, my child is a special need child. he wakes up every morning wanting to go to school. The staff iis just outstanding wjat would i do without them thank you.....
Hopefully, your child fits in their 'box'. If so, you will find this a very good school. Once we had special needs, it became a long long road. Alienated a most important parent/school relationship. What a shame.
Terrific school! One of the best in the state. I am proud that my kids go there and the pto is actively involved and the support is overwhelming. Our children are blessed with music every week and there is many oportunities to be involved with sports, clubs and much much more. The principal has made a point to know all the childrens names and make each one feel special. That is what creating a healthy learning enviroment is all about.
For the most part, I have been very happy with Truman Elementary. Mrs. Bishop is an awesome principle who truly cares about the academic success of all the students. My daughter loves going to school and I feel that she has had very good teachers. I also feel that my child is in a safe environment and is academically challenged in the classroom. However, I wish that there was more of an emphasis on art and music. I feel that all students should have music and art class at least once a week.
Mrs. Bishop, School Principal has put this school on the map. Very caring, interactive staff. Great experience, parent involvment a needed area but overall a winner.
I was very impressed in the academics category when I saw that my children had achieved very good grades at Truman. They were well challenged, long enough extracurricular activities and great principal leadership. They now attend Gerald R. Ford elem. school.
