Bonita is the worst when your child needs extras. They are very money oriented. Have you ever seen a flier mailed to homes advertising for enrollment in a public school? Bonita did!! Teachers are rude and never disciplined for their actions. They are their to support their students and instead criticize and demean them. Stay away!!!

Great school... two of my kids attend and are doing well. Sport and academics are fully supported by the district. funny thing is that I graduated from Bonita and I dont remeber the school being as good as it is now...then!

Did you know that Bonita also has special education classes too? My child is Down Syndrome and has attended Bonita for two years. Mrs. Dill, the teacher, is awesome and her staff incredible. The students on campus are a reflection of their parents and their community. The have taken out class in under the Buddy system and done wonders. I'm so grateful for all those students who spend their time in class with my son modeling outstanding citizenship. Thank you Bonita High!

I am a Freshmen at BHS it is the best thing that has ever happened ! going to this school made it so easy to want to go to school. It is fun and i would NEVER want to go to a different High school

The school has fun teachers that keep the students awake during class and makes them think about what they say. It has many extracurricular activities for anybody to join.

I am aBHS graduate. I was in the CORE program it prepared me for college. The same goes for the amazing AP classes that I began taking my sophmore year! The emphasise on education is great at Bonita. The teachers are careing and helpful. The campus is the perfect size, and the sports are terrific. And the fact that almost every top athlete is also a top student is great. And together with being in the close-knit community of La Verne, Bonita is a great school.

I think this is a great school and I have a freshman attending this year. The only issue I noticed that is probably common with most High Schools is that the administration is not strict enough on school bullies and allow some kids to engage in disruptive or bullying behavior even though they claim a zero toleration policy.

this school is great at everything. The sports are top notch. the academics are better than most in the area. The only drawback for me is they dont have jrotc and esmart available.

Bonita is an excellent school and provides many opportunities for students to excel in not only school but in life. It offers a program called Accelerated CORE to freshman who rank in the top 100 in their class. The program ties real life assignments which require students to get a feel for the work force by meeting deadlines and learning to use technology as well as intellect. The school offers many Advanced Placement classes which allow students to start their college education during their sophomore year until they graduate. The teachers and staff will go out of their way to help anyone. Bonita has an excellent atmosphere and I would recommend it to anyone who would like to get a real education.

Bonita is a wonderful school that is getting better every day! My son graduated from this school in 2004 and I have been so impressed with how he has grown and support he has received from the faculty and teachers. The staff go the extra mile for students. I took him out of a private christian school and am so glad I did. He received a better quality education in a safe, challenging environment. La Verne is a beautiful, family friendly city and the school reflects this attitude.

About the tests


In 2012-2013 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

The different student groups are identified by the California Department of Education; if there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.
