I"m so happy we chose this school for our son. The teachers are outstanding! He has 2 professors in his freshman year. Hhis classes are engaging - not lecture based - but discussion based. So the children learn to think. He is on-fire psyched about school. Bentley is super diverse. Way more so than other schools along the 680-24 corridor, so he learning about different world views. He also gets to play soccer - his first time ever. How cool is that? Everyone has been so welcoming. The school spirit is awesome. My child is thriving in this small private setting with outstanding teachers.

Great teachers at this school. Challenging academics with lots of support. Sadly, my daughter was the target of some horrible girl behavior and was left miserable for the next year until we pulled her out. Administration and "advisory" were less than proactive about helping her to work through the mess and she became withdrawn and miserable. Downside for girls is that the school is very SMALL -- there is no escaping girl drama with only 40 girls per class. She left and is a totally different kid. Another downside is that Bentley accepts most anyone, which changes the dynamic of the teachers with students -- some are good students, some are there to mitigate damage that they can get into. Like any high school, there is its share of "big high school trouble". The theatre program is excellent and teachers really care about what they do. We're just sad that it didnt work for our daughter.

This is an excellent college prep school that any parent can be proud to send his/her child to. Strengths include diversity, excellent English department, outstanding theater productions, community service commitment, and supportive teachers. The new leadership team is committed and proactive.

The Upper School at Bentley is fantastic. The academics are really extraordinary. My child is thriving in all subjects, especially math and science. Her teachers are very inspiring in these subjects and provide students a lot of attention. Also, the block schedule is based on a college model, which allows for more quality learning a couple of times during the week, rather than a quick 50 minutes each day. The school also has an excellent sports facility in the gym and new soccer field.
