I've had my child at this school from Preschool through 2nd grade. Although I've found the teaching staff to be very good, I must state that they are very overworked and under appreciated by the administration. The students only get special subjects once a week. The other thing I do not agree with is the constant changes that are being made in calendared days and schedules. If you are good with quick changes, this is the school for you.

St Anne school has a no sick policy. I had three children at the school and my two youngest were constantly ill. My preschooler was constantly sick. Not just the regular kids colds. She missed 1/3 of the year with scarlet fever, flu, vomiting, viral joint infection, croup, strep throat, a two week chest infection, fevers of unknown origin, and finally a MRSA staph infection in her nose. When I notified the school that she had deadly MRSA infection they could care less. They did not even agree to sanitize the classroom or even send out an e mail warning the other parents that there children may have been exposed. When she was better from one of her infections I would keep her home for a week. Two to three days after resuming school she would get sick again. She was so bad that her Dr. ordered blood test for immune disorders and leukemia. Her results were normal. She has been in a new school for three months and has not even had a stuffy nose. Also my third grader who was diagnosed with asthma from his constant coughing has not needed his inhaler since he left St. Anne. When he was at St Anne he was constantly coughing and needed his inhaler during school.

St. Anne preschool is an outstanding school. My son has completed 2 yrs of preschool/pre-K there and we could not be happier. He's had 2 of the best teachers we could've ever imagined for him. Not only has our son flourished academically/socially/emotionally but his love of learning is a constant. He can't wait to go to school everyday. St. Anne is a happy place--a safe, caring, and supportive environment that offers a very well rounded curriculum with NAEYC accreditation. The spiritual foundation they provide is excellent. (and we are Christian not Catholic) I have such high regards for the entire staff. They are very attuned to the needs and differences of the students and parents and they really listen!!! I have a difficult time believing anyone could say anything negative about Mrs. B. She is one of the most caring, well respected, hard working, fair, administrators and a huge asset to St. Anne!!

Our daughter is in the preschool and we really love it! You cannot find a better environment for your child. This looks, feels, and runs like a preschool and not a glorified day care. They are a NAEYC accredited program. The schedule is one of the reasons we picked the school. We liked that the preschool grounds are completely secure. We have enjoyed every parent and child we have met so far. My daughter's teacher is very good at getting the children acclimated and making sure that each child is treated wonderfully by the other children in their class.

My chidren were happy and loved at St. Anne. We made the wrenching decision to leave, however, because the academics were sub-par. It is foremost about the 'whole child' which is a polite way of saying that academics are not the primary focus. It is also very Catholic. Very, very Catholic. The school is run by good people and the families are good families. But St. Anne is an average school.

The problem with attending this school is that they pump up students with false, inflated grades and by the time you are in high school and busy with classes and extracurribulars, there is no time to make up for the lack of knowledge in mathematics, science, literature and reading. This puts students who want to attend competitive colleges at the disadvantage of having to repeat courses or take the risk of not knowing required math knowledge later for HS advanced math, chemistry or for the College Board's SAT test. St Anne is a 'feel good' school where at least 70% of the class ends up on the 'Honors' Award list. But, unfortunately for many of those 'honors' students, they struggle through high school and end up in Jr colleges or other colleges that have lower academic requirements.

When I was looking for a school for my son, I visited many schools and talked to school officials about their method of teaching and philosophy for full child development - academic, methods of teaching, best learning techniques for students, ethics, leadership, presentation skills, verbal skills, skills to debate - skills which matter in real life - in addition to a great acedemic standard in math and science. I chose St Anne school because I was convinced that the school system provided the foundation for those skill sets I was looking for. After almost five years, I am so glad that I sent my son to this school. I am convinced that our community needs more of such schools.

i was very unhappy with all the cliques at st.annes. most of the students referred to themselves as 'rich' which is made it very uncomfortable for my daughter. the students are not humble at all, all they do is boast about what they have.

As a single mom, we moved here 12 years ago, my oldest daughter was in kindergarten,we had to move suddenly from another state, and it was a real adjustment. My daughter attended a local public school, which she was there for two weeks, although the school had good teaching, the teacher's ignored the way the kids were treating other kids. It was sad to see the clicks and the rude behaviors which were thrown at my daughter the 'new girl'. We came to St. Anne, where our cousins attended. We were so fortunate to meet LuAnne Wilson, and she moved mountains to get my daughter in to the kindergarten half way through the school year. My daughter was nurtured and loved, to this day she is an amazing young lady. My two other kids started that day in preschool, and my last will graduate this year, Thanks St Anne!!

I have a very bright 2nd grader who is definitely not being challenged. There is a lot of lip service about catering to bright kids but no real program in place. They have a serious bright flight problem. The campus is beautiful and everyone is incredibly nice but my child is bored.
