I love our school. I have had 3 children already pass through the halls of LAE, I have a kindergartner there now & a 4 year old who will attend in 2 years. I have had nothing but good experiences with the teachers & staff. Wonderful teachers & principal.

Academically fine but needs to work on communication amongst the office staff. Was not a great experience.

I have children at LAE and think it is a wonderful environment. I believe the teachers to be very dedicated. But the Principal does not handle serious issues (which are few), but sweeps them under the carpet and reports to the district office how she should have handled it. There is also a good amount of favoritism shown toward children of parents who are able to volunteer more time, especially when it comes to teacher/classroom assignment of kids at beginning of the year.

This is a wonderful elementary school, the little red brick school house that we all want our children to attend. Great teachers and administration.

I am a former student of LAE and know Mrs. Wogen very well. I have also worked as a custodian in the San Bernardino City Unified and Fontana School Districts. In all I have worked in nearly all of the 65 or so San Bernardino schools at one time or another and some of the 40 Fontana schools. All of the Rim schools beat most of the San Bernardino schools in cleanliness, and although some of the newer Fontana schools are also good, I still think the Rim schools are better. Also, a lot of the people in the Rim district are friendlier than their counterparts in San Bernardino, especially at LAE. A lot of problems that occur everyday at the San Bernardino School District (such as Graffiti) are almost non-existant here. This is a public school that is more like a private school. I am privileged to have attended LAE.

My experience as a single parent is a very good one. The communication btwn my sons teachers and myself is the 'tops'! Especially noting Mrs.Burns and Mr. Eaton, they are really meeting their purpose here on earth by teaching at LAE!

I have four children and each one attended LAE from Kindergarten thru 6th grade (my youngest is having his last year there now). I have nothing but the best things to say about this school. The teachers really care about the children. In all the years I have had an issue with only two teachers. One was 20 years ago and she no longer teaches at LAE. The other was within the last two years. My children were ready to graduate and attend MPH with all the skills they needed. The teachers are great and the office staff (Donna and Terri) are also wonderful! Not to mention Christy the nurse aide! I hate to leave any one out but Mr. Warhol is top notch! Open house and back to school night are so well attended by parents you have to get there an hour early! Thank you LAE! You're the best!
