I love this school because it's giving under-privileged kids an opportunity to have a good education and hopefully embark in a life-long quest for learning.

I love this school. My children have learned so much and they made a lot of friends. This school is not crowded and the teachers give each student the attention they need. There is a lot of different activities for them to do. My kids love this school very much.

I'm extremely happy with this school and all my child has learned as a result of being here. With the small school setting and even smaller class sizes, there is a better opportunity for my child to get the individual attention she may need. The classes are capped at max of 20 students but to my knowledge they have only reached the maximum in two of the 8 classes they have. I currently have two daughters that attend here and they both love it. The staff is more like a family and I am on a first name basis and very familiar with all the faculty. Due to the school being located in a remote area, big city school problems with image, clique's, and other various problems are virtually non exsistant. The focus of this school is acedemics and the student. Hands down a spectatular choice for all parents!!

I have had my 4 children up at Barona for 5 years now. Needless to say, if I wasn't satisfied I woul not make the trip up the hill. If you want a low-key, personalized environment, and want to maintain some innocence for your children then consider sending them here. I have never been dis-satisfied with the teachers or any other staff. I am an involved parent, as parents should be, in staying connected with the teachers. The teacher-student ratio is small. Generally 20 or less in every class. You don't have the big campus issues you would have at a regular mainstream school. Barona does have activities for the children. Field trips, parties, after-school sports thru the rec center if you want. If you aren't entirely focused on all the 'fun' stuff and more concerned about your childs academics, then you will be satisfied.

This year the organization seems to be lacking. Promises made to higher classes as far as trips have not been followed through, resulting in disappointment from students. Proper notification to parents of up coming events etc. has greatly lacked. Certain teacher seems to be teaching very half heartedly. Love the small environment, but beginning to wonder if it is worth it any more.

I am dissapointed in the quality of this school. This school lacks an important resource, parent involvement. There are also many parents with valid concerns regarding the 'special' treatment of tribal children. Their handbook is a joke as they themselves do not abide by the rules. The morning care care is only free to the tribal children, all others pay. the afernoon care is free for all however. There is a high turn over of caretakers for the program. Personalized curriculum does not exist. For being such a small school, they are having a difficult time maintaining quality academics.
