I am so happy my child is a Pinecrest student! Coming from a public school where the education is poor, all the extra programs have been cut, and class sizes are 30 + students, it was refreshing to see there is a school out there that cares about a higher education, class size, and teachers that are very competent. I can t image getting a better education anywhere else. All of the teachers, administration, and especially Mrs. Latimer, are very helpful and hard working. Their positive attitude, commitment to excellence and success shows in the students test scores. Thank you Pinecrest for being an amazing school for my child!!!

Mrs Latimer running this school to the ground, she really is difficult to deal she has no concern at all and is incompetent she should be fired, my kid is better off in public school this was a waste of money, its true most of the good reviews are from there relatives that have kids enrolled. Its best to deal Corporate Office than the School at least i got some of my money back... 15244 Magnolia Blvd Sherman Oaks, California Phone (818) 986-2470 Sarah Johnson, Vice President Student Affairs and HR

My child has been at this school for over four years, and I couldn't imagine her not attending here. The level of learing fa eceedes anything you could find in a public school or private school in this area. She is offered so much acedemically that she just continues to excell. The entire staff is FABULOUS, they are all so good with the children and each morning that I drop her off I do so knowing she's in good hands. Definately a number one school.

wont be returning to this school. Afterschool programs got cut and good teachers quit and got replaced with incompetent teachers. The education my child is recieving this year can be easily got in the local public school. Tuition keeps climbing and afterschool enrichment keeps declining. Pinecrest, Lancaster has become a glorified babysitter afterschool. Also much of the staff is related so I can imagine that is where the majority of positive comments for the school comes from. As an "outsider" my opinion is completely unbiased. And believe me, they arent shy about letting you know when you are an outsider.

Great School !!! My child attended this school for Kindergarten and by the end of the year she was reading (great reading program). It is a great challenging program. I was amazed at what she learned throughout the year. The teachers are great with the students. They care and help the students succeed. They challenge the students with fun activities.

I cannot imagine my children attending school anywhere else! I have attended the parent meetings and listened to the one or two disgruntled parents drone on and on on how their little "prodigies" are not being challenged, however the overall majority of the parents who have been with Pinecrest for many years are rolling their eyes at these ridiculous comments. This school has integrity and the staff and administration are there for the students. Both of my children's teachers are creative, knowledgeable, and make learning fun. My kids love going to school. As a teacher in a public school I can testify that the work is definitely challenging and the students are learning at a high level. The teachers are allowed to be innovative and my children are exposed to music, art, foreign language and computers. I am thrilled that my child's art work was submitted for contests and if winning money for the school to purchase extra items for the campus is involved, I consider it an additional plus! I know I can stop by the office and voice any concern to not only the director but to anyone in the front office. They are ALL courteous and all issues have been addressed in a professional manner.

I am so happy the shcool year is over and I will finally pull my child out of this school. Pinecrest is great for early education (up to maybe 1st grade), but really misses the mark after that. I was extremely dissappointed with the teacher, the administration and the lack of morals and values by most of the staff. I tried to talk to the teacher and principal on several occassions regarding my concerns and expectations for my child, but got nothing but excuses. After reviewing the state math standards for my child's grade, I must now work over the summer to make sure they learn all they did not cover during the school year. The focus of the curriculum was "busy work" which prevented me from providing extra focus to those areas that were lacking or weak in the class curriculum . My request early on to focus reading assignments that would challenge my advanced-reading child fell on deaf ears. This school is not interested in the "whole child" as their propaganda claims, they are intersted in your "whole tution". I can say more, but I will end here and say "buyer beware".

THIS SCHOOL LACKS MORALS, VALUES & LEADERSHIP. Cash only for field trips and parties (weird), nepotism high w/at least 6 out of approx 30 staff related (that's 20%! weird), parents discouraged from forming PTA or volunteering at school, teachers allowed to dress provocatively, it goes on and on. Yes it has art, gym & Spanish, but I found out the art my kids make is sent off to contests to earn money for... the SCHOOL! What happened to creating art for art? In addition, they held an art fundraiser with my kids artwork. They never told us the kids were "donating" their art. Ends up if I didn't buy it framed for an inflated price, they would send my child's art to a hospital but REFUSED to let my kids have their own work (after a very embarrassing evening, I was refunded my money and "allowed" to have my kids art). I couldn't understand how they could treat us like that & neither could my kids. The teachers are pretty nice, but with no clear policies or leadership, it's like the wild west--they just do what they want and the parents complain to the director who is not accountable (they lock you into 1 yr contract--once you pay your stuck!). I'd run not walk from this one!

Love, Love,Love this school! As a parent of three children I have been with the school for many years. The teachers are caring and dedicated and I have always been treated with respect. I volunteer every year and have really gotten to know the staff and administration. I would never put my girls at any other school. Thank you Pinecrest!

My child has been attending Pinecrest for the past five years. We are extremely happy with the teacher and the administration. The acadimics are high above standard. My child did very well last year on S.A.T. Extra activites are a plus(Spanish, Music.P.E. Art,Sports,Cooking and many others.) The parent envolvement here at Pinecrest is big from Open house to Halloween carnival ,Holiday program,Science Fair and Art Show. I was so proud to see my child's art hanging with all the other children's art. That I could not wait to purchase it. I'm So glad that we choose Pinecrest.
