I LOVE MS. UPAH!!! my son is in her Kindergarden class, and he is very hyper child. She is SO patient and kind, challenges him educationally, and we keep in total contact as to his development, and work together to help him. She is AMAAAZING! a TOTAL dream come true for a teacher! I ONLY wish that we could just have her forever!!! The Principal of this school is SO AWESOME also!! she's a totally dedicated, totally hands on principal! I often see ser walkng around to check on things, she is ALWAYS polite and remembers us, and you can tell that she loves her job, and does is so happily and SO well! She's doesn't play all these non-sense political games with the parents, and doesn't have a power trip, you can tell that at this school it's ALL ABOUT THE KIDS! I've had the same feeling from the principal, as with the teacher! everyone is SO wonderful, SO dedicated, and strice SO hard to give the children an amazing experience and education.
As a student here(i am currently in highschool AVHS) I was not unhappy looking at how well I did.I was an average student but my teachers were there nearly 97 percent of the time.As I reached 5th grade I noticed that many of the encouraging teachers seem to be disappearing. Now, from what I learn, the students are not tuaght disciple(important during this time! ) and is it become a problem! This effects all! Where are the proper and caring teachers and administration now? Where?! It begins here! Think about their futures!
The school is awful! They have no desire to see any one student succeed as long as all maintain a minimum test score
jhosua is the best school ever teached at as a subutute and when i came in miss furnesses class room they were all sitting down reading it so cool and they been god the whole day wow
I am a proud parent of two Joshua students. I found the staff very friendly, helpful and concerned. As a parent I know that it is not only the teachers that must be available but also , no more so than the teachers and staff US as parents. These are our children they are a direct reflection of us, what becomes of them is our concern. I love joshua school and staff and I think they do a great job with such little parent help.
I'm the grandmother of 2 former students & the grandmother of 2 incoming students & the staff at Joshua really cares about the students that they have daily contact with. I like their agenda & teaching.
Moved from MD to CA and this is a whole different world. I don't feel like the teachers are there enough. I feel they need to be a little more accountable. They say coming to class everyday for the student is key, but what about the teachers? Consistancy is for them too. Children need a comfort zone, and if that familiar face is changed everyday with a sub what is that teaching the student?
