My daughter has been attending Lucile Smith for 3 years the academic structure is fantastic and the teachers and Principal along with the entire staff really care. It has been both a pleasure and relief.
This is my sons first year at this school. The teachers and staff are all nice. They are really good a communicating with the parents.
This school is amazing! The staff is superb as well as the principal. According to our CST scores, we jumped over 50 API points to an astounding 815! We worked really hard to encourage and motivate our students to take responsibility in thier learning; it is paying off! I am so thrilled to be working for the Lawndale School District as well as for the top performing school in that district! We rock! LOL
This is my daughter's second year at Smith. Last year this school Rocked! It was a brand new school, with all new principal, teachers and staff, and new students. Everything was new! There were smiling faces everywhere...it was a good thing to see. The teachers here very outstanding I must say, they are serious about what they teach. I call this a 'public-private' school. That is how good they are. This year though has been a little... ummm... boring. Maybe they've settled in now, all of the excitement is gone, don't know.. New Principal is alright, last year's was Phemnomnial! Need more activities for students and more parent/principal contact. Overall though, good school.
I have two sons one who is now at Jane Addams middle school. However the teachers from Jane Addams are most of the teachers at Lucille Smith. They are a great group of teachers that go above and beyond for their students. Now my second son is at Lucille Smith this is his 2nd year. The school offers an after school program with great staff as well. I would highly recommend this school to any parent considering it for their child.
My child is one of the pioneer students of this newly built school. This is her second year there and I can say that my expectations of the principal, teachers, and other staff were surpassed. They try to instill in students good behavior and discipline and most importantly, the teachers are very much involved in each students' learning growth. I'm more than glad to have my daughter as a part of the Smith Cheetahs.
Fantastic teachers and office staff. The best teachers you will ever get in educating your child all the way from K-5th grade. The academic programs are superior and there is also the availability of music and other extracurricular activities. The staff is dedicated, caring, understanding and will go the extra mile for your child success and future. This is a community school made up of teachers, parents and students. This is what makes the students and the school a success. Yes parent involvement is necessary to help the school as a whole. It is a win win situation with the cooperation of everyone. (new school with new principal this fall)
