Leggett Valley Elementary strives to be the best, and teaches with heart.

My sister had an excellent learning experience in Leggett Valley, and speaks very highly of it; her sons attended, even now, as her daughter attends. They are all brilliant, and even good genetics requires the help of good teachers to develop into your full potential!

They have a wonderful school with great teachers and a good, wholesome food for the kids!

I transferred my sons to Leggett Valley School for the luxury of smaller class size, a strong feeling of family and community, and a strong working relationship between the teachers and the family. At Leggett Valley School, you were invited to participate in your child's education, not just sell cookies for the PTA.

the teachers show students how to work together to make everyone a success story.

Leggett is a small school with a family atmosphere. Teachers know all of the students by name not just in their class but in the whole school (preschool - 12th). The teachers are in tune with the students moods and are quick to note when students need an encouragement, a hug or a 'are you okay'. The teachers are approachable to students and parents and quickly make the time to talk to you when you have a concern. The students are treated with respect and they respond with respect back. The teachers are caring, attentive and yet firm consistently with all students which is good. If someone has a need, the staff at Leggett respond quickly.

I'm proud of our rural school, located in the redwoods. We are indeed special. We have no gang violence and students are tolerant of their differences. Infact, my elementary-aged daughter is attending a 'whole class' counseling session for creative conflict resolution. Our teachers TRULY care about their students, both in terms of academic achievement and emotional health. Our community is supportive of our students and school. Our art and music programs are self-funded through huge-hearted, tireless volunteers, and our students participate annually in performing arts with the Missoula Childrens' Theater. There is a garden the kids can work in, and students participate in enrichment field trips, some of which have included the King Tut Exhibit in San Francisco, snow boarding in Ashland, Oregon, and the seniors are going to Mexico and Belize in a couple of weeks. Most of our graduates continue on to college. While I would prefer the cafeteria food be all organic, our chef does a good job - you certainly won't find a McDonalds box in our cafeteria!

Leggett has been good to my boys. We have graduated 3 with one to go. My 20 year old is in Rome studying abroad through Berkeley University. We are proud and support our school!

We are a small school that has a family feel to. The staff genuinely care about the well being of their students from preschool on through 12th grade! Some of our staff have worked here for over 40 years! Our school is a huge part of our community where everyone knows everyone and no one get left behind!
