Very nice school. Focused on teaching children how to think and be prepared to go to college and be successful. Very happy to have my child here.

Excellent education for our children. The rating does not indicate the degree of great education this school provides our children. The teachers are highly prepared and professional, the principal is fantastic, and the children are just a delight. This school is an example to follow!!!

We live in Lemon Grove about 3 years. My two daughters in this school both of them like it and happy, they attented pre. school to 1st. grade. They have nice, great principal and teachers. We're going to miss the school a lot too bad due to housing problem we have to move to mira mesa, so my two kids have to go to another school.

Our son has completed his first year of school at Golden Avenue and all our expectations have been surpassed. It is clear that the teachers, led by Principal Oser, strive to put the student's best interests first, while balancing those with the Fed and state mandated curriculum. The school's emphasis on reading, diversity, peacebuilding, and environmental stewardship are as valuable as the standard academic fare. I look forward to my son's growth at Golden Avenue.

My daughter and son go to this now great school. The principal is wonderful, well prepared and always available. He makes the world of difference for our community. Thank you all at Golden Avenue for the re-birth of a school that is a safe heaven for learning and security for our children

The school is soring to great heights as the new principal and the staff have worked as a team to change the culture of the school. I applaud their continuous efforts in making this school a school where all children cna be successful. Extremely well organized staff that is prepared to meet the needs of all children. Thank you, Mr. Oser for believing in our children.

My daughter's both attended the ths school in 2005-2006 and had a great experience. The teachers were very good and kept the children accountable for their work and actions. Also, the principal worked very hard to keep the children engaged (even made the new for kissing a pig). We were always able to find the principal infront of the school after classes and the teachers walked students to the front gate.

The negative atmosphere from the past is gone. Recently, with the new principal, the climate is positive. The students are happy, academically engaged and feel safe. Parent involvement is very responsive and very high. Parent volunteer hours have surpass our expectation. PTA membership past our goal the first week of school. Many programs have been added, continued, and encouraged- tutoring for reading, math, intermural sports at lunchtime, science night, and multicultural fair.
