Lenwood School is the best Elementry School in all the Barstow Unified School District to me. My two boys are on a District Transfer since 2002 and I would never take them to any other Elementry School. All the Teachers from K to 6 grade are so dedicated and go way beond to meet every childs need. They are there to help no matter what and are alway I contact with the parent. Also Mrs. May the Principal is the best she cares for all of her kids she is always present and has alway time for everyone. The Lenwood Community takes a lot of pride in there school and welcomes everyone to there community. Thank you Lenwood School for going above and beyond to educate the kids at the school.

This school has exceptional teachers who dedicate their time to encourage students and to teach them what they need to succeed. However, the principal of this school is not available to talk with parents about their worries or to provide solutions when is needed. The office does not provide the necessary information to children to be delivered to their parents, moreover, I found out my child was awarded with two honor roll certificates when my child arrived home. It would be helpful if the principal would start do It her job and stop ignoring parents who do not speak clear English, because that is what she does.

Lenwood Elementary School is a small desert eighborhood school. The Teachers and Principal are nice and my children like them. My children like to learn and enjoy going to school, however,if there is a disiplinary action, which has happened, they tend to quickly suspend the child for punnishment, sending them away from school and home where they don't really learn any punishment at the school. By this I mean, no resesses and maybe an after school detention and extra work. But that would mean the staff would have to stay too. Sending them home for suspension etc, is only punishing the parent that has to take off from work and become the 'teacher' and to many end up in home studies in the whole District. With some children liking it, and that shouldn't happen as much as it does. They like the school, but haven't been too any other.
