Livermore High School is a great choice for your student's high school years. The PTSA and Booster club are 2 of many ways parents can participate in the high school while supporting their children. The administration is knowledgeable, friendly and caring. I have had children in the school since 2006 and can honestly say, I love this school.

Livermore hs got to be one of the best schools EVER. its SO spirited, and the new principal is bomb! hes really cool and so are all the new vice principals (: I think they ar etrying to make lhs students have good grades and stuff, but still have an awesome high school experience (: the kids are nice, and most of the teachers are pretty awesome too (: its a big campus and lhs is big on spirit ,so they're big on sports too. there are lots of clubs you can join,andeveryones is really friendly (:

This school has the best librarian ever. She helps kids with reports, research and computer work. She is patient but doesn't put up with kids who aren't working on class assignments. She is respected by teachers, parents and students. Let's keep her at LHS.

Livermore High is not only great for academics, they have great clubs, sports, and afterschool activities. They have an amazing drama program and clubs range from everything to drama and gay-straight alliance to link crew and interact club. It is truly an amazing school, and I am getting so much out of it.

Livermore High is a lot like small schools were when I was growing up. LHS continues to keep it's heritage and small time feel alive, which is hard in this day and age. It is also hard for it to compete with other local schools for funding, athletics, scholastics, etc. LHS needs and deserves extra funding. My children benefitted greatly from this school.

The advanced classes are wonderful, teachers are full of motivation and make students feel important. Unfortunetelly, for most of the students, the lack of attention that is given is very detrimental. The administration is a joke, and many of the CORE required classes ae significantly sub standard

About the tests


In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

The different student groups are identified by the California Department of Education; if there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.
