This school is blessed with a wonderful, caring staff and a Principal who care so much for the students. The students know that their teachers and principal care for them and want them to succeed. They struggle financially, and are expected to produce miracles happen from nothing. This is a title I school, which means that most students qualify to receive free or reduced school meals. So not only is the school poor, so is the majority of the children that attend. Which leads to parent participation, most of these families have two working parents, which does not allow them to participate as much as they would like. We need more money, for technology and staff to be better able to support the children's needs.

My child has attended LaHonda since Kindergarten and is now going into Third grade,hes been lucky to have great teachers in every grade!I think the school is a great school,we are very lucky,I have had my unfair issues with some teachers(but what parent doesnt)never the less the school has helped my son in so many ways to become a bright young little man,and what more education wise can a parent ask for:)

My child attended La Honda from Kindergarten until 5th grade. Great Teachers who are very committed to the students no matter what. GATE differentiation needs to be more recognized at the primary grades.
