Profile Completeness

BASIC

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

You wont find a better school than Keller! We love our little school. The school has teachers that feel like family. The teachers are just amazing at tuning in to what the kids each need. Do they need that push to get a head, do they need that "mother hen" to guide them by the hand? guess what mom's and dad's, you may not know what your little one needs but the teachers here will quickly figure it out, and do it! From the kids who struggle, to the ones who excell in everything, Keller does a terrific job of getting all the kids to do their persoanl best! it's not all about API's, Keller is commited to making the students feel safe and they have always had an amazing character development program. Parent's always seem to be ready to help here. from in the classroom to on the playground. It's got a home like family feel. I would recomend Keller to family and friends and will gladly have my preschooler attend in another year.

This was a wonderful school. My spouse and I thought it was 'just good' and with a great schools rating of 5, we decided to move to an area with a 9 rated school. What a mistake. We miss Helen Keller. The kids did so much better there; and the entire family was happier. The teachers are accountable and resourceful, not spoiled. The teachers listened to us and the kids did the work themselves. There was real learning taking place, not glossy assignments for the parents to do at home. The playground supervisors were lovely, caring, priceless women. The only thing I would change is the assemblies. The sound equipment is awful.

My two children went to Keller for two years, beginning in second grade and kindergarten. Second grade was disappointing. My daughter never covered the material she had learned at her previous school, in first grade, and actually regressed in math. Reading was stagnant. Also, her dyslexia was never addressed, as the administration tried to convince me she just had culture shock and needed to read more at home. Her third grade teacher was an angel of insight, addressed my daughter's special needs, even without support from the admin; and my daughter excelled. It's 'hit and miss' at Keller, depending on the teacher you get. My son was very happy and I think both his teachers were great. Although he did well at Keller, he was behind at the school he transfered to for second grade.

My daughter attended Keller for 2 yrs before we moved to San Antonio,TX and I loved this school; Teachers there are awesome, my child exceeded my expectations there with all the support of the school staff and all that the school has to offer.

This is a great school. High test scores, caring teachers and staff, curriculum-based rigorous instruction, and a good plan for the success of all students. My son graduated from Keller, my daughter attends now, and my little one is a future Keller scholar. I think they are accepting school of choice applicants now too! We love it.
