Lakewood Christian Schools
Grateful to: Student

I would like to honor and thank my daughter, Emma S., an 8th grader about to graduate Lakewood Christian Schools after attending there since Preschool! I am so thankful for and proud of my daughter! Sending children to a high quality Christian school is a huge sacrifice and one that has NOT gone unnoticed and unappreciated by my daughter. She always strives to get excellent grades and behaves with great integrity, is humble, is always highly active at the school in so many aspects(they offer a lot of different opportunities for our kiddos!), is kind, helpful, and respectful to teachers, staff, and fellow students. I could go on and on! Emma's character and integrity shine like a brilliant diamond! I am so very proud of all she is and all she has accomplished in her years at Lakewood Christian and am so thankful for the awesome teachers and staff there that helped shape Emma into the person she is. She will be graduating in a few weeks with an above 4.0 GPA and I am so excited to see what she does in high school next year!

This school is and has always been a huge blessing to our family!! We love the teachers, staff, and parents! It is a loving community dedicated to giving our children the best high quality education in a nurturing environment. We wish they had a high school so we would never have to leave them during our kids' K-12 years!!

Amount of homework: Just right

There is rarely busywork homework that is given. In the upper grades, they are only given homework that they did not have time to finish in class. If they use their time wisely there is not too much homework.

The school is challenging and demands more than your typical public school. The students participate in speeches, math olympics, spelling bee, art festivals, and other showcases of talent and aptitude.

The teachers and staff respect each other and that comes across to the students. They demand the same level of respect in the students toward each other.

The school and teachers are all loving, Christ-followers and strive to be like Him in all they say and do. This develops compassion, caring, and empathy.

I am so thankful for the loving teachers my boys have had over the past 6 years at LCS- Mrs. Tague, Mrs. Yowell, Mrs. VanDyk, Miss Davidson, Mrs. Schaub, and Mrs. Murphy. I am so thankful for a place that is committed not only to my boys academic growth but to their spiritual growth and maturity as well. We love you LCS!
