My son is going to start second grade next year and im confident he is ready. My oldest son also went here and we loved it. While its not like it used to be its still a good school. most of the staff is really friendly and happy to answer any questions you might have. I will be taking my other kids once they are old enough.

My daughter was very happy every day when I picked her up. She learned to read, write, and play the recorder. My daughter had a great teachers for kinder and first grade Ms. Sands and Ms. Santiago. They both did a great job preparing my daughter for second grade. I am very happy parent. :0) Also the principal Ms. Woods is a lovely person, leader, and cares about the children.

Although my daughter is new to the school, there were several things I liked about it right away. The curriculum seems very balanced. There are blocks of time for each core area and these subjects are visited daily. My daughter loves writing and art. If allowed, she would spend her time doing only these things. At the Riordan Center math is made fun and various methods are taught to the children to make math a game. This has helped her to like math. Art, physical activity and field trips are available to the students. I also love the fact that the school is Kinder through First Grade only. The entire campus is designed to make the younger students feel comfortable. I like that more time is spent w/in their own peer group while they learn basic skills that they will carry into the higher grades. This builds confidence.

I am the parent of a 5 year old attending Richard Riordan school, her first year attending in pre-school was great, we're not too excited about this school year though, I don't believe she's getting the same attention she did before so she will not attend first grade here.

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) School Experience Survey asks parents, students and employees about their school's learning environment. Results provide insight into school climate, such as whether the school is academically rigorous, engaging, safe, and collaborative. Learn more

We organized questions from the LAUSD School Experience Survey into five categories. The respondent group-level results (parents, students, and school employees) show the percent of each respondent group that agree or strongly agree that the school has positive results for that category.

Overall school results for each category are calculated by averaging across group-level results, ensuring that each respondent group is equally represented. Alongside the results for each school are the aggregated results across all LAUSD schools, which are provided as a basis for comparisons.
