As a previous student who attended this school for six years, along with another sibling who will graduate from there, I am obliged and qualified to give a review of the school. I am not qualified to review up to 6th grade, as I had attended public school until then. However, this gives my review of the high school even more credibility, as I now compare Faith to a public school system. My opinion can be summed up thusly: Faith Baptist is excellent. In detail, thusly: I have expecienced many good and wonderful things while at Faith. The academics are top-notch, the staff is kind and caring, and the main focus upon the Word of God is excellent. This school teaches, nurtures, and develops morals in its students. Its English program is excellent, far outclassing the curriculum that I received whilst in public school--Magnet schools like Lawrence and Welby Way. The school is not perfect, and a bit stict, but nothing is perfect, and the strictness is preferable to the lack of guidelines seen in other places. The academics, though definitely not the best, are still in the top percentage. After all, I am attending UC Davis. Faith is a unique chance for an incredible growth.
As a previous student who attended this school for 10 years, along with other siblings who also graduated from here, I feel obliged and qualified to give a review of this school. If you are looking for an elementary school/early middle school, I would say this is an awesome place to send your kids. On the other hand, once in high school, everything falls apart. Academically, this school LAGS. Their AP courses are taught by highly unqualified people who have little to no knowledge in the topic they teach. Religiously, they often times confused me, personally. Christianity is supposed to be a non judgemental religion, yet my entire time in high school, all I felt was judgement passed from the teachers and administrators; AND I AM A CHRISTIAN MYSELF. Beyond that, they often ridicule others' religions which I consider extremely ignorant. Additionally, this is not the place for minorities, especially African Americans or Blacks. They are incredibly racist, suppressive, & exclusionary. Even with straight A's & superb test scores, the college counselor had the audicity to tell my friend, who was black, that he "should become plumber." Think it over before putting your child through this.
Faith Baptist is an amazing school. My children have attended Faith Baptist since K4 and I could not ask for more from a school. The teachers are caring and truly interested in each child. The curriculum goes beyond just covering the basics. It is ahead of public schools and is presented in a great environment. I would not send my children anywhere else.
Both my kids are presently enrolled and have been attending this school since 4K, they are now 9th graders! Teachers are caring although some can't help but give their own opinions about politics/current events. Academically the curriculum is great & my kids love going to this school! The religion is Bible based but sometimes interpreted in extreme, like Dancing is evil which is not! Other than that, it's a good school for kids to grow in.
Faith Baptist Schools is such a wonderful school. My children are learning so much. Every day they are challenged to do more and I feel they are given great opportunities to grow in both mind and spirit. I feel safe and comforted to know that my children are in the hands of people that truly love and care for my children. Great values are being taught to my children and the teachers have the same desire as me... to see my children to grow to be good people with a desire to do what is right. I am so glad to have found Faith Baptist Schools.
Great teachers. Wonderful curriculum. Well worth the tuition. We are very happy with this school. The quality of the education is amazing we feel like we can't believe the tuition is so reasonable. We have both of our kids at this school and plan to have them attend all the way from kindergarten through high school.
Solid Biblical teaching. Rigorous academics. Compassionate Christian staff and teachers. Affordable tuition. Best Christian school in the San Fernando Valley.
You cannot find a better curriculum to prepare your child for the future. The education process along with the biblical background make this school standout as a leader. The teachers are extremely nice and truly care about your child's education.
Faith Baptist school is great. My both kids have been attending school since they were 4 years old. We love the school. The school, including teachers and principals, provide first in class christen education and cares deeply for each individual student. The school record of students attending universities after high school is so impressive. We actually met with a collage counselor a school before my kid started 9th grade. Mrs. Packard gave us a plan of action for what needs to be done before graduating from high school to be able to be accepted to top collages. The Principal, Mrs. Stephanie Rasmussen, she is wonderful and caring about the children, especially the ones who require more attentions and are more trouble than the others. Thank you Faith Baptist for all your hard work and care you providing for our children.
Faith Baptist is the best school I have know for my kids, my daughter has learned soo much there, and I do speak for experience because my two older kids, did not have the opportunity to go to that school I can say they had a good education, she has been there since kindergarten, Now she is in 6th grade, I love the teachers, and my daughter loves, the education, the teachers etc.
I am happy that my child will soon be leaving this school right in the middle of Kindergarten. And we as his parents do not regret this decision. We want our child to enjoy school, and not build FEAR and have ANXIETY problems especially the growing stage our child is in right now. This school has a FACADE of being religious but with how many times I have picked up my child, I have noticed parents gossiped with parents who LOVES to gossip about other teachers and parents who are "NOT IN THEIR GROUP." It was from another parent who gossiped about a teacher who was "demoted." And yes, there are teachers who are LAZY in this school. Instead of helping your child to learn, THEY FAVORED THE CHILDREN IN CLASS who are doing well..AND LEFT THE SLOW LEARNERS BEHIND! This is SAD. School should be fun. And yes, my child's teacher and assistant does not know how to spell my child's name. WHAT A SHAME!
This school is terrible. The administration is more concerned with hiring teachers of their own agenda to manipulate rather than actually hiring good educators. There are a few exceptions to their teachers, but for the most part they are young fresh out of college students who do not know what they are doing and then demand respect. The teachers and everyone in the administration also have a problem with gossiping. Everything to them has to be talked about, no matter how personal. Even the student's lives become something for them to gossip about. They are very judgmental, which is something you would not expect from "Christians," but they love to judge all their students and choose favorites rather than help the troubled ones. They make students who they do not favor feel inferior, and also look for any reason to expel students they do not like. It is not a place of God, but rather a place where the administration and the ministry tries anything necessary to get your money. If they do not favor your kids then they will be mistreated. Again there are a few good teachers, but it is not worth the emotional and psychological damage to your children to send them to this place.
Faith Baptist is the best thing to have ever happened to me. The teachers are my family. Their care goes beyond the classroom. They make sure I always understand. I have been in this school since pre-school, and my public-schooled relatives are amazed at the knowledge I have amassed from my eleven years at Faith Baptist. Classes are fun and enjoyable, yet challenging at the same time. A good Christian environment is presented to me, yet the teachers don't discriminate. Faith Baptist has literally changed the course of my life. I am so thankful for this school.
My daughter attended here for 6 years. I took her out after the Fourth grade since they were spoon feeding the students. The teachers would go over the actual test before the students took the test. Should a student turn in a test without all filled out, they were able to come back during lunch to finish. There is always a bell curve with grades. But every year all students-all 35+ in the classwroom were getting "A's". How is this so??? They were not teaching them to study, they were teaching them to memorize and move on. For the standarized testing. They would spend all week practicing so their scores would be high. For open house-all that work on the walls. A facade. They would have the students do that work the weeks before. Should you want your student to learn, think about it before you enter them here. K4 and K5 were excellent. Then it is all spoon feeding. I was a very disappointed Parent and sad that is took me so long to find out. My daughter was an A+ student there and it took over 6 months to catch up with the school I put her in at 5th grade. She was behind in Science, Social Studies, Critical Thinking, Writing, and even math and English.
My son has been going to school here since the first grade and is now in the 6th. grade, he has exceled in all classes and is on the "A" and "A"/"B" Honor roll for the last four years. The school is a very very family oriented, many events happen at the school. My son has learned very much and if he were to attend a public school he would have to be put in a higher grade just from the level of teaching that he is at. If your child is willing to learn and take advantage of the benefits the school has to offer then they will excell
I sent two of my children to Faith and came away extremely pleased with the results. They both were accepted into UCLA and have done very well for themselves. I would highly recommend this school to anybody. Sandra E.
I am so happy to have my kids in Faith Baptist Schools, I think its the best decision i have ever made, and especialy I am thankful with Mrs. Stephanie Rasmussen, she is more than principal, she is like a mother to this kids.
Faith Baptist is where love meets student! We are very thankful to be apart of this wonderful school.
Faith Baptist is an excellent school. We have seen such a difference in both children since starting. We are very impressed on the dedication to learning.
My daughters have been going to this school since foe 5 yrs and so far I am so happy that I chose this school. It has not only given them great education but also the knowledge of religion. Thank you Faith Baptist for your dedication to your students.
