I have had my child at the WJCC for 3 years and they have all been fantastic. This is a loving environment where children are nutured while learning independence. This is one of the few schools that has a full day (8am - 6pm) schedule for 2 full time working parents.

WJCC is a wonderful school. it's old-fashioned, in a good way - the teachers have been there a long time & are very experienced, the toys are simple & largely wooden, the facilities are humble and slightly shabby. if you want a 'prestigious' school with fancy new equipment and an expensive price tag, this is not the place for you. my second child is there now and we've been very happy with the school.

Best features: big, bright classrooms, beautiful outside play areas and a real 'neighborhood' vibe. It's also almost completely without pretense of any sort, and has many schedule options. Finally, great enrichment classes...and the other affiliated JCC programs are big bonuses.

The Westside JCC is a terrific school for kids. The teachers are old-school style teachers who are loving and also focused on ensuring that kids have good manners and values and playing well with other kids. They stress good hand washing and not sneezing on other kids. The administration tries to do everything to accommodate the needs of families and children. Parents and families tend to be friendly and easy-going. This is an administration that has been around for a while and believes in their teaching approach.

This is a wonderful school. It has caring teachers and a great curriculum. The yard is huge and there are separate areas for different ages. The school has early morning and afterschool programs to accomodate working parents that need a few extra hours. Any parent would be fortunate to have their child in a program like this one.

Challenging administration and rigid teachers make this a poor environment for students.

WJCC wants all children to fit into their box. The teachers are unwilling to go the extra mile and work with kids who needs alittle extra - they just can't be bothered.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
