My school is Wisdom Academy for Young Scientist. I think others should know about this school. The staff are caring and qualified. The class size is small, which creates a better environment for learning. I think the school should expand. WAYS have the best science program. The children are given the opportunity to handle live animals

I absolutely love this school my son has been attending since it opened its Salvation Army site.... I am a active parent in the school... The staff and teachers are amazing.... The school is not huge and because of that you are able to build solid relationships with the teachers and administration..... I would recommend this school to parents like myself who are active and love to spend time in class or close to the school....

This school is great. You won't find more caring people that those who work at this school. The science program is so good with a special teacher who brings in animals for the kids to touch and learn about.

Wisdom Academy has made a lot of great improvements over the past years. They have expanded, and now have 3 school sites. Lots of great and dedicated teachers are employed here. They encourage lots of parent involvement and have monthly school site council meetings where parents and staff share and vote on school decisions. This is a great alternative to a regular public schools.

The best elementary school in my area, considering the demographics. Small facility, great teachers and staff. My son seems to enjoy the school a lot and is learning at an advanced pace. Thank you Wisdom Academy for Young Scientists

very good school I have a 5th grader and a 1rst grader my kids are learning a lot. Yes is true is not a big school, but hey as long as my kids are safe and learning that's enough for me. air condining is all over the school they just fix it this week. Also their teachers are very good .

I am unsure of this schools ability to give the BEST educational program to students. The facility is horrible:inadequate space, the bathrooms reeks of urine, lacks air condition. Students use out-dated curriculum, limited technology, and doesn't develop students into scientists (science isn't being taught any differently than at any other school in south central LA). After this past year, having my child enrolled at WAYS and hearing all of the reasons why LAUSD did not renew its charter, I did not register my child for this upcoming year. The previous executive director didn't have the students in mind. Instead, she profited from the school renting the facility that she owned (a huge conflict of interested) and did not invest in technology, curriculum, or supplies. The administration lacks communication, doesn't handle misbehaved kids, RUDE, and under qualified if you asked me. The teachers try there best with what they have at least some do. I really questions there scores from previous year, and this year sums it up LOW scores, which makes sense after trying to help tutor some of these kids. Us parents tried to help out. Check out the school for yourself...its a JOKE!!!
