New Heights Charter is a great school . It's great because the teachers and administrative team are knowledgeable and caring. My granddaughter is learning to read, uses the IPad, and has made lots of friends.
This school don't have all the programs they say the kids from prek to second grades don't have a nice place for there lunch the food is bad the most of the kids don't eat the food is cool and fruits are spoil parents have to be takeing food . They say they want healthier food and they aloud parents to take mc Donalds for there kids and they don't let loud my kid eat a cookie so what is more healthy?
My son goes here & I honestly don't like the school! !!! They say they have so many programs but not for the youngers kids.. Kinder-2nd grade.. They teachers can't handle the students because they have no help. With a class full of over 20 kids they need to at lease have a teacher aid.. My son was already advance coming to this school in kinder now he's in first grade it seem like he's behind. If it wasn't for us teaching him at home he would be behind. . He would definitely not attend in the 2nd grade!!!! They don't do student of the month, don't issue out perfect attendance awards or nothing...
A very nice school. Challenging programs. This was my grandson first year at this school and I was very pleased with the way the school is ran.
It's a nice and kind place for kids. However no school is perfect it's small but growing has a beautful extension program where students improve their comprehension and develop a love of reading, increase vocabulary and can't over look the math department it is small but therefore it delivers when it comes to that geometry. Moreover please look at the overall program you may like what you see as for as the extra activites the school offers. About the staff they are wonderful.
Every school has challenges with student discipline, but this school has a different approach. They are really trying to build students' skills so that they can solve their own problems and learn how to control themselves.
Teachers and staff are great people and caring, but unfortunately the school has several issues with discipline!
I have three children at this school and they all have great teachers. The whole staff is very supportive and my kids really enjoy their classrooms. They loved climbing up the rock wall!
I'm a grandparent at this school and my grandduaghter is blossoming. She is becoming more confident and her writing is really terrific. I enjoy participating in the classroom publishing parties.
I love the dual focus on academics and caring. I think the teachers and leadership are great! I really like having my daughter at this school.
I love having my son at this school. He is doing really well and has made a lot of friends. I like the teaching style and the focus on letting the students be active participants in their learning.
I really love sending my son to this school. He has been at the school since it opened and he has grown in his confidence and academics. I love the amount of support he gets and the teachers are really dedicated.
My grand-daughter goes to New Heights. She is doing excellent! Her scores were super and her teacher is always so prepared. I Iove attending the Reading Workshop Publishing parties to hear the students' stories.
My daughter really loves going to school everyday at New Heights. She is reading real books and writing everyday. They use Singapore Math, which really has helped her.
My nephew attends New Heights and I love how the teachers and leadership support his creativity and thinking for himself. He has developed into a kid that really likes to learn!
I would like to say in response to the 'New Comer' that the friendly attention that was recvd' from New Heights was not what the Issue is. This is an Institution of learning not a daycare facility. Your main concern should be your child's education, not if someone is holding there hand all day, because in the real world no one is going to hold thier hand every step. They need to be educated to survive in the real world
I was there with my little brother yesterday and he enrolled today. Everyone was nice and super friendly. At his first day today they went out of their way to make sure he felt comfortable and accepted. The principal is nice and very respectful with the kids. She had boy in her office yesterday and was really trying to understand why he was frustrated. She was nice and mellow and the boy responded to that behavior. We are glad we found the school.
I have been at this school the opening and i feel the school is not getting any better it is getting worse...I think the office is more concerned with money then the children...I have waited for the discipline to increase instead it has decreased...This will be my childrens last year and i hope the other parents do the same...There is little to no communication from the office...and if they feel the teachers are suppose to do it they are crazy it is the offices' job to communicate with the parents about what is going on in the school...the teachers are only suppose to teach the children and communicate there work to the parent...which i give them there props on they do communicate with parents...I wish this school would have been better but its not...so good bye!!!!
My daughter loves it here and she is learning alot. It is a great school, with excellent teachers and staff. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.
I am very happy to have my children here. I love the teaching methods and activities that the school is implementing. The teachers are very friendly and professional.
