It's a great school, it a fabulous building. The food is fresh and healthy. The teachers are inspired and the learning environment is conducive to learning.
I love Los Feliz Charter School because the teachers and all the staff are really oriented to work with what works for the children and not the traditional education of LAUSD. My 2nd grader son feels comfortable in the school environment and that means a lot to me. To both of us the school is a gift from heaven.
The project based approach to teaching, using the arts daily to teach concepts, the space is very inspiring.
This school is awesome. The level of dedication to our children is incredible. My daugher loves going to school everyday. She tells everyone about her school. Her confidence and skill level have improved beyond measure. We love Los Feliz and plan to stay there until she's done with the 5th grade. The facility is state of the art and stimulating. We're very happy at Los Feliz.
My grandson loves his school!! And I support this kind of hands on learning as a former teacher I know it works to create life long learners!
My son is EXTREMELY happy there. And the fact that the school is hands on, project based learning makes me the happiest mom.
My daughter has made the most special friendships at this school. Developed a desire for learning, for exploring, and asking questions about life that are harnessed by a need to seek out the answers. The ability and acceptance to use her imagination, both alone and with her friends, in order to answer her sought out explorations. And a fantastic environment in which to do so. We LOVE LFCSA.
very wonderful...my son wakes up excited to go to school and comes home very happy ....i wish there were more school like this .
I couldn't be happier with this school. My daughter had an amazing year there in Kindergarten and really thrived. Now she has entered 1st grade and I'm hoping for more of the same. All the faculty and the parent community are really amazing and I am so proud and grateful to be a part of it.
My daughter loves going to school and learning. I couldn't ask for much more than that.
An arts based education is so wonderful. My kids are thriving and love going to school. The teachers are amazing and the state of the art "school house" is unbelievable.
This is my daughter's first year at Los Feliz Arts Charter and I've never seen her happier after a first day of school!!! Every day she's excited to tell me what she did and learned. When we came upon the ending of her first week, I asked her if she was ready to have the weekend off and she said, "Actually no, I want to go back to school tomorrow." This is a very rare comment coming from my daughter. She's a fourth grader at a new school which can be intimidating, but she couldn't be happier.
Integration of arts into the curriculum; very involved parents; new facility with Macs!
LFCSA fosters critical thinking skills and challenges its students intellectually and creatively!
My grandaughter is a super-expressive, imaginative 5 year old and her first day of kindergarten suited her to a t. She did "mud-painting" and "robot walk dancing." The second day she loved, too, with math games (very serious). There's an understanding of children's physical, emotional and intellectual needs and the way they synergize to make learning powerful and fun at Los Feliz Charter School for the Arts.
To be at a school where students grow to be lifelong learners and explore the world around them is a beautiful thing. The teachers are dedicated to providing the best education with enthusiasm and compassion. The parent community is incredible, never in my professional career have I seen such amazing support. I come to school everyday looking forward to being inspired by the students in my class and igniting their curiosity.
This is a wonderful school. Each child is treated as an individual. The teachers are attentive, and truly interested in their students. This is one of the few public elementary schools in LA that have a positive, creative approach to learning. I am so happy my son is going there.
I love that the school offers dance classes and music classes. My children look forward to attending everyday, to learn in different ways and express themselves in ways that they feel comfortable in. The principal takes time to communicate and listens to parents, students and teachers. They understand that the school is a village and that it takes all of us, the community, parents, students, teachers, coming together to make it work.
