This school is horrible.Dont send your children here. it is way to overcrowded. teachers give way too much hw. its horrible.
There is no gangs no fighting just social kids having fun and learning
It is a good academic school. It is a small school which took time to get used to, and is very diverse. So it is a good cultural experience. If you would like to join a football team this is not the school for you and transportation is a hasle sometimes especially afterschool, but it is a good school.
it is a cool school with many advances in any subject there is music, foreign language ,AVID and many things more. I really recommend this school
I attended Bravo from 2002-2006. Bravo is an excellent school to send your children if they are interested in the Medical Field. They offer a wide range of programs such as STAR and the Nursing Program. Additionally, it's proximity to 2 hospitals (both at a walking distance) give's student's the best exposure to health related fields. It's also very culturally diverse. The Teacher's are awesome! ( some were not as good, but as It was mentioned before, the 'good' teachers outweigh the 'bad' teachers) Classes most definitely prepare you for college. I was also part of the AVID program, which along with Bravo's competitive curriculum, prepared me well for college.
I went to bravo high in 2000 to 2004. I would recomend to all parents to encourage their children to attend if interested in the medical field.
I am a former student of Bravo. I attended the first year it opened. I have children of my own now and i look forward to them attending Bravo. Bravo has wonderful teachers who are i was lucky enough to know some of who are still faculty there. Bravo is a school focused on academics and as a parent who wants my children to succeed that is what is most important. If you attend this school thinking because it is a small school you can do whatever you want and not work hard you are mistaken. Some people look at high school as a time to play around instead of concentrating on their futures if that is what you are looking for then yes you are looking at the wrong school, however if you want to succeed in life i suggest you take a second look at bravo.
Im a former student @ bravo it is the worst school i have ever been to in my life. I had no choice but to transfer out the school lacks activities, very small, lack of diversity. If you go outside just to walk to burg king or someting be aware that there are a few gangs,so the safety is bad and the location. I cant recall anyonewho lived next to the place so dont think bout staying after school unles u want to be home by 8-9. The teachers are all jerks i cant really recall a nice1.Pep there are not smart, if you want your child to go here bcause the school has high scores dont be foled.
I am now a Senior and will be graduating this June. '08!!! I have to admit, I was sad to know that the school was small and that we lacked many things that other schools had, but as academics go, we do have some great teachers. There are some though who might not fit their job and responsability to help us, but whatever, I'm out and I have some good teachers this year. As safety goes, Bravo has a great staff that help keeps us all safe. Overall, Bravo is a great school for someone who wants to succeed in college. The AP courses help a lot. So a recommendation for incomming students and underclassmen, take as many AP courses as you can handle and also take courses in community colleges, it helps a lot, and makes you more confident to succeed in the future. Do not waste time.
I am at student currently attending Bravo High School I must emphasize the great advantage we all have with the small diverse community that it offers. I offers many extracurricular activities and the teachers really do push the students to a degree where they have to care and have to learn to take advantage of each free minute they have in class. I have attennded regular public high schools and its nothing like Bravo, the students dont really care about school, they have no motivation and hardly care for their grades...Bravo is a great school and college is never out of the question. Its rare for a student to be pregnant or drop out.
I am currently a freshman attending F. Bravo Medical Magnet HS and I must say that it is by far the best school that I have ever attended. The academics are rigorous yet exciting. The teachers encourage us students and stimulate our intellectual growth in a fun and proactive environmnt. Because of Bravo I am gradually becoming a goal-oriented, intelligent, and culturally aware individual.
Bravo is a awesome High School there are so many types of memories that can be form by going there! The location is also wonderful! Children must attend Bravo!
Although it may be better than your regular home school, Bravo is the most boring, pathetic school I've ever been in. There's no fun at all; the faculty tries too hard to make us 'academical achievers'. They're pushing us too far, and we do get them the high test scores, and still, the school properties are cheap, and there are not a lot of classes to pick from classes. It may be safe, but this school is boring as looking at a stick all day!
Bravo, it truly an excellent school, the environment encourages you to do your best. The teachers really do care about each student. There are also many AP's and honor classes available to you.
I am attending Bravo high school and I have to admit I didint like it at the begining, but now I learned to appreciate it . Even tough we dont have a field and the school is really small the teachers are great( most), and they try to keep us safe.
I thought Bravo will be a good but it isn't.In my opinion I think they should have more academic class and extracurricular classes instead of vocational schools. Most students don't even go to a good UC. IF a student wants to become a doctor they have to to college. But Bravo doesn't help students go to college academically but help them jet a job early with no good salary. They should have honors math and Euro History. My opinion will change if it is like Marshall or Temple City High.
Well, since 5th grade I wanted to attend this school. When they called me and told me that I got accepted and I was extremely excited and glad. The sports aren't that great and the school just wants to keep us 'safe', but what is going to happen when we come out into the real world? The school has helped us, but not as much as I thought it would. Although I have to admit, it is way better than my home school.
Its an amazing school. The campus is mesmerizing. The students are smart and the teachers are wonderful.
This is a great 'academic' school. Few sports related activities are available, however proximity to LA County USC Medical Center provides a plethora of volunteer opportunities. The area is not great but the school itself is very safe. The teachers are stellar and the curriculum very challenging. Plenty of medical and research related programs exist and the focus is on encouraging students to enter the medical field.
