What a blessing it is to work alongside qualified teachers. It is abundantly clear that the new teachers have brought a new fire to the school, a positive change. One that I'm sure will meet the needs of your children. Please stop by our school. Visit with our qualified teachers. We welcome your questions. Shadow a student. Talk to our parents, and you will see...SFA is the place to be.

Looks like SFA is up to it's old tricks. 4 clearly solicited positive reviews on the same day after months of inactivity and a bad review seems like the kind of fishy activity that the principal would undertake to make his school look slightly better. Make no mistake, the level of leadership from the principal is embarassing. I look forward to next 4 positive reviews in an attempt to hide this review in the coming days, but anyone lucky enough to read this before must heed the warning that this school is a joke. Poor leadership and few qualified teachers make St. Francis of Assisi one of the worst schools a parent can choose for their child. I'm the drill team is good and the BBQ's are fun, but the level of instruction is pathetic.
HEY-HEY-HEY! Our drill team placed 1st in dance & 2nd in pom at the CYO (catholic youth organization) CHEERLEADING competition. They also placed 1st in pomp & 1st for the first time in the prop novelty division at Sharp International competition at Azusa University last weekend. Woohoo! You girls are awesome! I also saw that a couple of boys have joined in. Way to go!!!
OMG! Thank you SFA for making my daughter feel so special. The SFA drill team showed up at my daughter's preschool and taught them a fun dance routine that got the whole room moving. Afterwards, they called her up and announced that she was now a member of their team and awarded her the drill team tshirt as well as her new pom poms. Then she danced with them the routine that she was taught at the workshop. My lil one so proud, she didn't want to take it off! Thank you to the drill team & their coach for making my girl feel so special.

ignore all reviews written by a teacher for this school. they are biased and were encouraged.
I've had very good interactions with the school and staff. I am aware of the fact that there have been some problem children in attendance; principal and teachers utilize Catholic ideologies to remedy these issues. I am secure in the knowledge that my children will be safe and well instructed at St. Francis of Assisi.

My daughter is on the SFA drill team, and I am so pleased with how it's ran and how my child has grown since she entered the team. They've taught her responsibility as well as how to work together towards a common goal. I only wish they'd started it sooner.

I am really pleased with how well SFA keeps us parents informed. We get written notification as well as a phone call reminder. It's wonderful. Teachers also send home notes informing me of upcoming events. If I have any concerns the office staff is quick to assist. All in all I give them a big thumbs up.

Working at SFA has taught me a lot. I've learned how to run a Silent Auction; I've been the opportunity to be a part of the marketing team, and the Pto board. All these opportunities that I have been blessed with I owe to our principal. He has given me plenty of challenges that I am proud to be a part of. If it were not for his unique way of finding the best in his teachers I don't think our school would be what it is today.

This is a school that is almost like a little family, since each class is small, the kids are together for 8 years and grow together as a "school" family. The tuition is very affordable for a private/religious education. All teachers are credentialed and/or have their Master's. The Principal genuinely cares about the kids and tries to help parents with their difficulties with either their children or financially. The alumni love their school and continue to return for the annual Fiesta. All in all, it's a great little school with a lot of potential.

At meetings they promise to keep you inform of your kid grades and to send you homeworks slips but the only thing you get is the progress report that by then is too late. No communication between teachers and parents as a team. The principal is not help at all and yes there is a lot of favoritism. I do not recommend this school, everything here is about money and do not care about getting the most out of the kids.

I am really disapointmented at the school, if you are looking for your kid to get real catholic values believe me you are looking at the wrong place. Starting with the principal that has no compassion when as catholic we should care for one another. He doesn't even care for the kids feelings or how to help them he is always looking how to punish them. Where is the forgiveness ???Is not like if is a crime to be kid.

This is a great little school. The teachers are great and dedicating. The principal is welcoming at firs , but then shows his true colors. There is alot of favoritism in this school. Seems that if you kiss butt , you get aknowledged.

I think the school is amazing and by far the best choice I could have made for my daughter. Mr Cavallo, the principal has been exceedingly welcomming, the entire staff is just so wonderful. I especially love Mrs. Camacho, she is the salt of the earth and just so great with the kids. As a single parent, the tuition is very affordable and in a great neighborhood.

It's a fantastic place to learn and grow. My child has attended this school since k-gr & now he's an 8th grader. This is his final year as well as mine and I highly recommend this school to all parents. My child has enjoyed his time there and your children could to. It's also very affordable compared to all schools in the the area.

I have been enrolled into SFA since kinder, and I am proud to say that I am now an alumni. From K-8th grade, I have been under the tutelage of many brilliant teachers and have been guided by two effecient principles. I was also part of the 'Student Council.' From my experience, the new principle always listened to the opinions and pleas of both students and parents alike and have settled on decisions through thoughtful consideration. He has also brought wonderful additions to the school, such as a more nutritious lunch program. (<- And he has quite a sense of humor that the students love.) The academic courses were relatively vigorous, and the school also offered extra-curricular activities that students could join. (ex. School clubs, sports, etc.) And there is another tidbit about this school; classes are very intimite in nature because of its size and approachable teachers.
Sister Karlyn will be miss by many parents and students. Unfortunaly the school is not heading in the right direction. Our opions & plea in regards to retaining a principle that has dedicated six years of her life have been disregarded and ignored. I have been cheated out of a school I wanted my kids to attend due to this behavior.

Sister Karlynn, we thank you, not just for your generous heart, but for your vision, for your ability to gaze into the future of each child here, and not yet here, and see that a difference can be made. We are going to miss you. We'll pray for you. Sincerely the vega's Family.
