My child hates the school, and I for one agree. The school overall is not a great one.
Excellent teachers. Very good discipline. Wonderful principal. Superior library. Fun day-long events with hands-on activities, including Rendezvous (simulating the era of trappers and Lewis and Clark in U.S. history), Engineering Day (with help from Cal Poly engineering students), and Career Fair (local professionals showing students what their careers are all about). Safe environment for my child.
We are new to the school this year and find it to be a good school overall. I don't think the students have enough room to play during lunch. They all stay inside the quad area which is rather small. A los osos mom.
I love the teachers, but the dicipline is not there, and their form of dicipline is not good. My son was receiving diciplinary checks in class for not turning assignments in. So now he has been drop failed from class. I believe that the check system should be for dicipline only, not academic problems.
I was very impressed with the teachers while my nephew attened this school. They were always available to help and kept the lines of communication open.
No discipline at all
