I go to this school and love it! Although, we are still are not quite organized because its a new school. But the teachers are great and care about their students. The teachers really motivate us and I think our school has a lot of potential, even though we are under-funded.

I love this school!!!!!!!! It is soo great!!! I love that my teachers care and show us that they care. I like how the principal is always staying on top of things and he does what he needs to. Going to this school was one of my best decisions yet!!!

It is an excellent school(: I like it a lot and my child attends this school; I am really happy it is now a I.B. school. Now students could have a better opportunity to go to college.

The school is wicked. The teachers (some) are superb at motivating the students. The teachers are friends with the students but they are still firm in getting something through our thick heads. One thing is for sure, the science departments are under funded and I know many teachers that have had to pay out of their pockets to buy materials. (And let's face it, teachers aren't exactly flowing with money.)

The new school is still going through its initial organizational stages. However the Teachers and the Principal are firmly committed to going to the highest levels possible when the sky is the limit.

Parent involvement is at a very high level. Parent meetings are held each week in the Parent Center. The IB Program M.Y.P requires 30 hours of community service on behalf of students and parents, and most parents tend to serve the hours at our school. Parent involvement is not scarce at all. We've been accredited as a school, and now we have our own sports, and vocal and instrumental classes will be offered. Firebaugh High School is an overachieving school, and an epitome for many school districts who've now adopted our curriculum.

It is a great school that my child loves going to. It has a great academic system and great teachers with great support. I would recommend it to any student looking for a great education.

The school has a lot of potential. The are a lot of great teachers and students here. Many departments are under-funded (Science; Biology and Chemistry lab equipment has not been purchased, Special Ed; more T.A.'s needed, ELL students; supporting materials needed). The IB program promises too much and simply does not deliver. Because administration has banked their reputation on the success of the IB program, the kids involved in this program are being catered to (more informational meetings for parents, more training for teachers, more materials for students) despite the fact that they only represent a small % of the general student population. All these problems are further exacerbated by a principal who lacks vision.

This school has impressed me off the charts. The first year was an okay year for my child. However I began to notice during her second year in Marco Antonio she began to face many challenges. The teachers are quite stimulating and very informative. These teachers are incredible, they are always there helping students understand the subject. I give this school an A+ for motivation and ambition. After all it isn't the brains that counts, it's the perspiration.

My overall feeling is that it is best to move my child out of this district. The problem starts with superintendent and board members and then trickles down to administration whose best interest we as parents cannot clearly identify. It is a shame that so many millions of dollars are not going into improving an underperforming district. As a parent, I can only do my part and pray for true change in a hopeless district.
