Sierra View is the best kept secret in the central valley. Mr. Tefft, the former principal, helped improve the school. He will be missed. He has taken the gifted staff, outstanding students and caring parent community and encouraged them to greatness. Sierra View is an absolutely incredible place for kids. The teachers are the best anywhere and the parent community is stunning! I love this school.

Sierra View has been the best experience for my child. It is a small country school atmosphere where every child knows every child and a large majority of parents get involved. I couldn't ask for a better education for my child and the school principal, Mr. Teft is great.

When I first stepped onto the Sierra View campus as a new employee, I felt that it was a blessed place full of grace. The community, school, and the district reinforced these feelings. I found that great leadership created above average results with staff and students in the district. As a teacher, I was given abundant support and encouragement from the involved people of the community through parent volunteers, Parent Club, and surprise treats from Moms in Touch. No good deed goes unnoticed at Sierra View. God bless all of the supportive people in the Sierra View community, the highly qualified staff at Sierra View, and dedicated district employees who have helped make Sierra View a positive learning environment resulting in the highest level of learning for all students.

I love the small country atmosphere of Sierra View. Everyone knows everyone. Each student gets a chance to particpate in many activities and are encouraged to do all they can to enhance their educational experience.

Sierra View is an outstanding school. It has found the balance between academic rigor and engaging relevant hands on activities. Our kids have come from Clovis Schools where everything is drill, kill, and seat work. How refreshing to be at a school where kids are being challenged but school is still fun! Great job Sierra View Staff. You are the finest staff anywhere!

Sierra View is has been a sweet country school over the years. Many fine students, families, teachers and administrators have grown and been nurtured successfully here. Lately, the school has fine leadership but lacks the original small and creative environment. Academics and seat work are too often stressed over a more relaxed and balanced approach. I feel that my daughter rises to the expectations of academic achievement and she has much support from a great home. I want her to also have more real opportunities to explore in hands-on realistic ways to learn rather than just seat work. I would like to see more P.E. teachers, more in the arts, more in science experiments and hands-on learning. More project oriented work too, Sierra View is great but could be even better!
