I am very disappointed in this school.Although the campus is clean the environment is terrible. The majority of the teachers do not seem very involved with the students learning as well as having any control of their classes. The principal does not seem to have any answers for the parents concerns and seems to place all disciplinary actions to be dealt with by the 8 step disciplinary plan so, he doesn't have to deal with it directly when it happens. The only reason my child is attending this school because it is in our district and I've been left with no other choice. I truly think that a whole new staff is what this school needs to make the children safe and to receive a better education.

a newer clean school. well versed in disiplinary actions. Im less than satisfied with time used in class to teach specific subjects. It seems to be mostly relied on homework, and PARENT student study habits. We were at thomas jefferson last year, there is good and bad in both. based on the last two years I would have to rank 1-10 TJ 8, MLK 6. For some crazy reason my daughter is getting better grades than last year. I think for the parents its: 'Do what you can to help, then hope for the best'.

It has come a long way, but I think there is still more room for improvement. Overall, it had a very good sports program, I was more concerned with the teachers and the material being taught in the classroom.

I think this is a great school. Most administrators are very attentive and address concerns promptly. In addition, most teachers here are very dedicated to helping your child learn. Although the API scores are not great, they are not reflective of this school and all it has to offer. I had an opportunity to enroll my child in the other middle school, and opted not to. This school has alot of English Language learners, which contributes to the lower test scores. However, if you are looking for quality, this school has it all. You will find teachers willing to address concerns, as well as administrators. In addition there are many programs this school offers for the Gifted child to the Struggling Child, and in between. I am discovering this now. I would not send my child to another school
