I had a great experience while at East Union. The programs are there for the students, they just need to be willing to take advantage of them. The school offers caring teachers that will push their students and prepare them well for college.

id say this school has definetly been good to my children. it has influenced my daughter greatly throuhg her involvment in the theatre program. i would hate to see the theatre and all the support and comfort and safety it offers children go away.

East union can be really fun if we all try hard enough to make it fun. if we just slack off and not do anything to improve our school, nothing will get done! i enjoy attending this school, the staff is really nice and most of the students are very friendly and helpful! -a freshman at East Union High School

E.U. can be a really great school when everyone tries. Just get involved and evantually everyone will participate. I love their band especially I've been in it for three years and there hasn't be much of a problem. This is a school that you should be able to trust to teach your kids to learn a lot in and enjoy.

I have been a parent of a student at east union high school sense 1980 . I put 5 children threw this school and now have 3 grandchildren, 1 senior 1 junior and 1 freshman. Trust me this is the best school in the valley. The staff is absolutely the best to work with. I personally would like to thank them for all the great years. It has been my honor as a parent to be apart of their lives and them apart of mine. The education they offer is beyond the normal. The staff at E.U. Have gone above and beyond their duties as teachers.

the school is a prety good school but they do have their defaults.a large number of students are white, therfore a lot of the facity discriminate against the minority.that issue disturbs a lot of parents.the teaching is ok, and they are good in sports.

I have three children who graduated with honors from EUHS. All three loved their time at the school and were fully involved in various extracurricular activities. I especially recommend the choir and band programs. The teachers are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The AP classes are taught by teachers who truly inspired my children. School spirit and tradition run deep at EUHS.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

The different student groups are identified by the California Department of Education; if there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.

The different student groups are identified by the California Department of Education; if there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 California used the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) to test high school students' skills in English language arts and mathematics. The results for grade 10 students taking the test for the first time are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The CAHSEE is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined by the state of California. Students must pass all parts of the CAHSEE in order to graduate from high school. If they do not pass it the first time, students have multiple opportunities to retake the test. The goal is for all students to pass both sections of the test.
