We moved to the manteca area last year. Had to go to New Haven because of late registration. This year...I put them in New Haven instead of Joshua Cowell, where they were scheduled to go. Wow, what a down to earth staff with genuine caring and compassion for the kids. I have children ranging from 22 to 13. This is the best elementary school I have had experience with. Kudos to your brand of teaching. Each and every educator at New Haven is to be commended for their tireless efforts, desire to inspire and professional vigor. Thank You.

This school has one of THE WORST Kindergarten classes in the district. Their teachers don't teach much and the Principal, David O'Leary, DOES NOT CARE! I WOULD AVOID THIS SCHOOL'S KINDERGARTEN CLASSES IF YOU CAN. I wish someone wrote negative comments about their Kindergarten so I could enroll them in a better school. This school's K class is sooooo disappointing. Class size is over 30 per class too...you try to handle 30 5yr olds. AVOID THIS SCHOOL KINDERGARTEN CLASSES!!!!!! Note: I did hear that the higher grades are better though

I love this school my son began attending school here this yr he is in 1st grade coming from an awul school (lincoln elementary) he has done so well here, the teachers teach so well and take so much time with the students all the kids seem nice and friendly the yard duty staff watches the kids great making sure there are no bullies. I am so happy with this school it is so amazing and wonderful! The principal is involved with the children yard duties know students by name..just like a big family! this is the greatest school. my son is doing great and says he loves it here..he used to cry to go to school before but now is excited every morning. this school is amazing!!

I am happy with the academics here. The outside appearance is deceiving. I was disappointed when I first looked at it because I thought it looked run down and unkempt. I wished at the time that she would be attending Joshua Cowell but I am happy now that she didn't. I think the teachers are great and the principal seems to be really involved with the kids. I like to see that.

I feel this school does not keep parnets informed on what is going on. I am not happy with my daughters progress during the almost 3 years she has been attending.

I am proud to say that my child goes to New Haven Elementary. When parents of my child ask me where my daughter goes and I respond 'New Haven' I get positive feedback. They say 'I heard that is a good school'. I keep up with the schools using greatschools.org and I am happy with the scores for the lower grades. I am a little disappointed in the highter grades. I would like to see that improve. When I asked a teacher she said its because of horomones. That is not a good enought answer for a parent to hear.

I think New Haven School is great in general. The teachers are very dedicated to the students. I think I would like to see more activities that require more Parent Involvement, more Safety arround the school and more Extracurricular Activities.
