I was a student there when i went to this school (class of 2015). Teachers there cares about their students. I know that because almost all my teachers helped me get a better grades and make sure I don't stress out alot. All the staffs that I know are really caring and pretty nice.

I am an alumnus of this school (class of 2011) and graduated at the top of my class. Let me just say that some of the teachers here are great, and some of them are horrible. If your child is already doing well in school, then they won't have a difficult time getting pass the curriculum, but they risk losing the passion to learn because some of the teachers here are horrible and will put in little to no effort to teach the subject well, and this will make the student learn to hate the subject and dread doing any work related to it, as it did for me. If your child is already having difficulty in school, I recommend picking another school because he/she will be put in classrooms where some of the teachers are not approachable because they seem unfriendly or strict, and some do nothing to help failing students, like replying to email to talk about the student's progress or grades (Ms. Stegall who also doesn't use the school's online grading system). However, there are some outstanding teachers at this school who definitely are approachable and who show they care. The non-teaching staff is also great. Mr. Cena is an excellent principle who clearly cares about the students.

Marysville High School is a pretty awesome school. I was able to make new friends while coming here in my freshmen year. The teachers are cool. They are there for you when you need the help. I think they deserve to have great students. Their hard work pays off. There are not that many fights here. (Which is a good thing!) Our security guards are cool. The staff members are great. MHS is an awesome school!

We have AP Economics and English; Comp. Lit. I & II (GATE); Honors American Lit, World History, US History, Economics & Civics. Our art program is limited to Drama, Choir, Art I and II, History of Music, and Ceramics. There's enough soprts to fit everbody's needs---volleyball, football, boy's & girl's soccer, boy's & girl's basketball, powder puff, cheerleading, track & field, swimming, tennis, golf, & wrestling. We have many clubs on campus, ranging from MEChA to Young Life to the Ski Club. There's something for everybody. If you're bored here, it's your fault. we aren't too cliquish, and as long as you aren't too snobby or evil, you'll fit right in.The teachers take their job seriously, but the majority of them are pretty cool and nice when you get to know them. It's only a school of around 1000 kids, so pretty much everybody knows everybody.

Profile Completeness

Want to improve this school's profile?

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
