Maywood Academy is in need of a good leader. The morale and enthusiasm of the staff, parents, and students at Maywood has declined due to the poor leadership from the principal. We need a leader who is going to be at the school at all times, a leader who is going to be supportive of her staff and students. Maywood Academy could become a great school if we have great leaders.

Despite, the ignorance of some of the students on campus, this school is doing exceptionally well. Both the teachers and staff, but forth a great effort towards the success and future of the school. The only problem is the lack of effort, concentration, and knowledge of many of the students. Although many students care much about the school there are some who do not put forth the contribution of being of being good students.

was a former student at MAHS. Class OF 2008! Most of my fellow classmates I and agreed that Maywood High sounds like a great school but its not! There is horrible staff for example, in the main office, they have a terrible attitude and they think they can do whatever they want. They will leave parents standing there for long periods of time waiting to be helped. Some of the teachers are not that good in what they do, I am glad to say that most of them are good hardworking teachers, foe example Ms.Buenrostro is a awesome English teacher. Most of the counselors are the best! Ms.Quesada is one of them she is a wonderful counselor. But unfortunately we can t say the same thing about all counselors for example, Ms.Talley. There is no support for the student body. So if you are planning to enroll your child into this school don t let the name fool you.

MAHS is a great high school. Not an excellent one but it is definitely above average. One of the reasons that MAHS is an exceptional learning environment is because of the school's population. Our school is not overpopulated as the nearby schools granting us an advantage the others schools do not have. The teachers at the school all share one common goal, to prepare all of us for the future so we can succeed later in life. The security at this school couldn't be any more stricter. Besides having to wear uniform everyday, the school won't even allow you to have a marker. Mostly all markers given to us at school are washable, no kidding! The also have a strict policy for any student failing to follow the dress code. Anyways, I believe this school has the potential to improve positively in the near future.

This is a good school in a bad neihborhood. The faculty is great, although we can't seem to keep great teachers. Mr. Santos is a great music teacher who inspired all of the students to acheive great things but he had to leave.

I am a rising junior and I believe that Maywood Academy is really on top of there goals. Some students may not like this school. Well its because truthfully we have many rules. It is okay though becausem its for our safety to learn in a good enviornment. As for sports, the school as many skilled students. The Baseball team won the championship. Besides sports students in our school share there skills by joining clubs which then particpates in other activities. AP courses are also given. This school was announce on the news to be number 1 in the school district.

Actually, this school is wonderful. They do have a great administration, great teachers and staff. Just because they don't have tennis or golf doesn't make it a bad school.
