I have been doing research on this school for the past two years, and now have the opportunity to enroll my daughter, I am super excited for her, and she is as well.
I moved my 7th and 11th grader mid-school year last in the 2009-2010 school year. My boys were getting into trouble and failing miserable at their previous schools, which were in a great school district. CAA helped my boys actually pass their classes and cared enough about them that they love going to school. It was the best decision I ever made. If you're looking for a small school feel, with individual attention and don't feel your children's needs are being met at the huge high school or middle school they're in now, I would highly recommend CAA. I'm so happy we found them!!!
My child's grades have improved and my child is now involved in all the school activities. Wonderful teachers and staff. This school offers after school tutuoring and the parents are encouraged to be a part of the academic experience by several means of volunteering. The principal Mr. Thomas challenges each student to put forth their best efforts. He is a great mentor and has provided this school with the focus and leadership it needs. For a school only in its second year one visit will convince you that this school is exceptional!
I found out about CAA last year and could not wait to enroll my son. If you are looking for a hands on creative school where parents, students, teachers and administrators work as a team this is the school for you. CAA has an awesome parent association; I encourage you to check them out at parentsofcaa.com. This school is truly a hidden treasure and whether your child wants to be a pilot, air traffic controller, aircraft mechanic or they are up in the air contact the school and take a tour, you will not be disappointed.
An amazing school located at McClellan Park. The Teachers and staff are the most dedicated I have ever met. My child receives extra help when needed, telephone calls updating his progress and the way the parents, teacher and students interact is awsome. My child has received the best academic structure since coming to CAA.
This is an excellent school because it is a small school with big ideas. The staff is attentive to the needs of the students and are involved in what is happening at school. The parents rally behind staff and students to help them achieve their goals. The students are learning core curriculm as well as aviation, plus there are alot of life experiences that they may not be offered at a traditional school. If your child is interested in any part of aviation from design to flying then this is the school for them.
I really like this school because it is small and the teachers are really good about contacting home for updates about my kid. He wants to be a pilot and he really likes their emphasis on aviation.
This is an involved school. Teachers work well with each other and with parents. The parents support the teachers and vice versa. This also allows the teachers to focus on the students and their needs.
