Fantastic, caring, supportive teachers. Added a winning track team as of 2008. Welcoming office staff. Frequent student teachers add new insight and fresh teaching activities. Parent-Teacher group sponsors sock hops, Salmon dinner, family dance night, and many other activites to unify families and raise money for numerous field trips. A safe and nurturing school
Warm, helpful office staff. Excellent art program. Parents invited to participate in all activities or visit classrooms unannounced. Open door policy. Hallways decorated with art and writing. Lots of extras: Science Fairs etc.
They have a fantastic music teacher there and a great kindergarten program!
McKinleyville had a reputation as being 'redneck' and a 'hick' town, which made me nervous. But Dow's Prairie School has astounded me with the superb quality of the teachers and staff. We couldn't be happier.
