This is not a good school with good leadership. At least the previous principal is gone. I tried to hang in but putting four grades together was the last straw. Parents were not informed of the 4-combo class until school began and it was too late to try to find another school. As soon as we can, we will be leaving. The church and its leadership is also a disappointment. Wonder why enrollment is so low??? Hmmm....

I believe in this school...... I value it's teachers and the education my child is receiving.......playground does need work but that's my only complaint..... I think the principal we had before was a good man who did a fine job.....good riddance to the broken record "haters"

I think the teachers here at this school are wonderful. They are called servants of the Lord and they are answering His call. Every school that you go to has it's ups and downs it does not mean that it is a bad place. Over all this school has done wonderful things for its student's, parents and its community.

Something needs to change soon. I am withdrawing my daughter after three years of enrollment. It's a shame, but unfortunately, limited educational resources and facility, the quality of leadership, accountability on behalf of principal, and a school board that enables things to continue this way has forced us to make this decision. We would be willing to continue to sacrifice for a quality Christian education, but this school's short-comings are just not worth it. Good-bye, GSLS.

Unproffessional staff. We have not felt a prescence of Jesus love displayed by several of the faculty.

My family will not be returning next year. We are very disappointed with the four/five combo class after many reassurances from the teacher, principal and school board. The education and environment is not good and there are bully's in the school. In addition, there is no discipline throughout the school and no seems to want to handle the situation.. The principal is ineffective and there are no programs for the children. Times are hard and I feel as if our hard earned money was wasted. Especially for programs and materials which never, well materialized! My family will not return for 2011-2012. We will enroll in public school. Too many problems, no resolutions.

Unfortunatly GSLS is no longer a good fit for my family. Too many broken promises, lies and poor leadership. At the start of the year we lost our spanish program, we were promised to get spanish back, we pay for spanish and nothing! Kids play ground was stripped to the ground, leaving basketball courts only. Never to see our little kids swinging, playing on bars or spinning on merry go rounds. Our kids get to play in the small holes that the squirrels have made. The principal states his door is always open. Yes it may be open, but if you speak about a situation and want resolution he does nothing. If the principal does not like a complaint he wont talk to you anymore. There is no security at the school. Anyone can walk on campus nobody at the front desk, nor anyone to answer phones. The board and principal continue to support such an irresponsible behavior from one teacher who is constantly cranky and yells at the kids. There are some great teachers at this school. We remain at GSLS this year because of our first grade teacher. I ask the question, is my child getting a $4,000. education? No! We will not be back next year. Another family leaving GSLS.

Leaving Good Shepherd has been the best decision my spouse and I have made. The principal is simply not a good leader and my children are not getting the Christian leadership and education that I enrolled them for. Many of my childrens friends have also left over the past few months and my children are happier than ever now in their new environment.

This school has proven to be a disappointment to us. Leadership is lacking in a principal who is unprepared for his role. Teachers appear stressed and unhappy. We will be looking for a new school in the coming year; one that practices the true principles of Christianity.

Our family attends Good Shepherd Lutheran School and we are also looking for a school which offers a quality education. I have been informed my previous post was too personal so I hope this post will remain. Good Shepherd needs leadership which cares about education, christian character and the well-being of its students and staff. My family has considered joining the church but have decided to remain at our present place of worship due to the current atomosphere at GSLS. We hope to find a new school soon.
