Beechwood is place of community. We are a family. Parent involvment is vital to the success of Beechwood. Its not about test scores or memorizing facts, its about developing and supporitng the individual child, and the acadmics will evolve themselves. The waiting lists alone speaks volumes of the impact this school has on the children, families and community. I highly recommend anyone who lives in the belle haven/east palo alto community to consider being a part of this family.

This school is great at encurageing al the parents to participate in a number of school activities and at home projects to keep the parents aware of the progress of the students in the classroom and in the school. This school offers a great variaty of opportunities for the students including music class, gardening and an exctensive science and reading programs, the teacher are very dedicated to the success of all the students in the classroom. This is a great school that really cares about the future of their students in school and outside the school.

The academic programs are Great. My Childrens reading, writing and math skills are above and beyond their grade levels. The parent involvement is good and can be improved. The techers are great, caring and dedicated to their position and students. We are a family.

I believe the academic programs are sound. There is no true availability to sports as far as a team until the 8th grade which is not good. The parent involvement is good and is mandatory in order for your child to attend.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
