I have mixed feelings about Weaver. I like the teachers very much. The office staff could use a little help though. The lunch policy and variety could also use a little more hellp, but I can understand they can only do so much. The school policy for the sixth graders not being able to have p.e. after lunch I think is ridiculous. The teachers I have met so far are absolutely wonderful, love teaching, and love parent involvement. I still really like the school.
I love this school my daughter were behind on math and reading at MCSD and when I enrolled them at weaver they were brought to level with in the first year. Unfortunately we move and they return to MCSD. My daughter are eager to return WSD..I love the way they teach and how they have groups by colors depending on level. My daughters were so excited to go up colors. They were always being challenged and rewarded. My daughters loved this school and are looking forward to returning so we will be moving ASAP (two thumbs up WSD!) I will have K, 4th and 6 grader looking forward to becoming part of there team! GVHS.. PRE AP classes are majority students that came from WSD!!
_ Weaver Is The Whackest School In The Whole World It Needs Too Make Some Major Changes Soon..!!
I am in the 7th grade and I currently attend Weaver Middle School. WMS is the greatest school in the world, I love it and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Weaver has pentathlon, colorguard, soccer, basketball, chess club, an award-winning band, drama, cheerleading, and more! The things I love about WMS are the crazy teachers(e.g. Mr. Fierro),the talent show, the dances, the fact that it has 9 periods instead of just 6 like most schools, the spirit days, and the fact that if we do good, or improve on the yearly CST, we can win medals. We recently got a new principle(Armando Gomez) so we're still seeing how things work out with him, and we just elected our new student council members, and they are going to try to get the new principal to bring back recess! I think Weaver is deffinatly unique, just like its students!
My children have attended the Weaver District (preschool, Pioneer and Weaver) for the last 6 years. I have never been a part of such a nurturing environment. Principals, teachers and students. The music program (especially the drumline) are excellent
Caring teachers, strong leadership, diverse students, small school setting with big ideas, excellent music program, great coaches for sports, always looking for ideas to support students, not afraid to try something new, everyone knows each other and there is a personal relationship between students, parents, and teachers.
This school is dedicated to it's students. The teachers are fantastic. My son graduated from Weaver in 2006 and currently my twin daughters attend Weaver and love it. They are very active in sports. Go Wildcats!!!
Weaver Middle School has some great teachers, parents and certificated staff. Next year this school will have a new principal who has raised test scores significantly in another District school. The future looks good.
Hey every one this is my second year at weaver and I love it. I personally think it has the best colorguard squad in merced. Well I love it and so should you.
