My two kids both attended Milpitas Montessory School. We are very satisfied with our experience: teachers are very attentive, kids have great opportunity to learn/play and develop social skills. I have no hesitation recommending this schoold and would keep my kids there beyond 2nd grade if that option was available.
This school is good, only if the kid is attentive. My kid is very hyper and has a hard time sitting in one place for long. The teacher will only teach the kids who listen to her and are sitting on the mat. I see many kids roaming about the class room, or sitting by the door, when the teacher is teaching and not listening. Some kids will be staring at the wall with a job infront of them, but doing nothing. The teachers are not doing a good job, at making these kind of kids learn. these kids are not challenged, but are intimidated by the frustrated teacher, who complaints a lot to the parent.
I will not recommend this school. Too many students in one class. The teachers only teaches 2 students at a time, so she may not get to teach your child at all. Then, the teacher will complain, your child does not know anything. She complained about my child a lot so I put my child in a different school. He is doing very well in this new school, no complaints from teacher.
My daughter has been going to Milpitas Montessori since she was 3 years old. I only have good things to say about this school. All the staff are kind and foster an environment for learning. My child has made excellent progress both academically and personally. When she was four years old, we wanted to move her to Challenger and even got admission. It was Febraury and she was 3 and half years old when we applied for Challenger. By the time she was four years old, seeing the wonderful progress she has made, we dropped the admission to Challenger. That's how much we like this school. Now she is in Kindergarten. I highly recommend this school. I feel it is fortunate to have found this school.
My daughter has been in Milpitas Montessori school since one year and she loves it. The teachers are kind and give lots of attention to children. I also like the way the management is handling the school activities. I highly recommend this school.
This is an excellent school for your child. All the teachers are very loving and kind. Additionally, the academics are superb. My child was reading Cat in the Hat books in Pre-school and moved on Curious George by kindergarden. The school teaching style with an open classroom set up encourages teamwork. The curriculum is clever and motivates the children to want to learn and be excited about learning. The owners are kind and compassionate. Too bad they only go through 2nd Grade.
My daughter has gone preschool here since she was 3 years old. She is now attending there for kindergarden. She is really enjoying the school. The teachers are wonderful and kind. They teach kids individually according to their own pace. Small class size. I am extremely satisfy with my decision to have my daughter attending this private school.
The teaching staff and standard of education is exceptional at Milpitas Montessori. As an Asian parent this is very important to me. However, as a working parent, it is as important that my children are cared for and kept safe. On my younger son s first day of preschool, nap time had not gone well. I found out later that a teacher had rocked him to sleep. Then there are the little extras. My children always take a home lunch, but there have been many a day, when the teachers have given them an extra piece of fruit, a salad or milk, just because they asked! If you are looking for a reasonably priced, private school with well supervised before and after school care options, a blended Montessori approach at the higher grade levels and a small class size, you should explore what the Milpitas Montessori School has to offer.
My son has been going to Milpitas Montessori since he was 2 years 8 months old, he's now almost 4 years old. He had gone from not wanting to go to school at the beginning, to asking to go to school even on the weekends.:-) The teachers are caring and are serious about teaching. I see great developemnts in my son's logical and creative thinking. I definitely recommend this school.'
My second-grade child is and has been at this school since she was in the preschool. My family moved out of town last year and I debated moving her to another school. But I decided to keep her there and drive the extra distance because of the wonderful teachers and staff. Since she was in preschool, the teachers have always taken special care of her (e.g., consoling her when she cried each morning in preschool). They are also very accomodating, (e.g., offering my child a school lunch if she didn't seem to like the home lunch I made for her). These 'special touches' were not the things I looked for when I was looking for a school, but its these touches that made me decide to stay. It's worth every mile.
