4 of my 6 children have started att ending Hart Ransom 4 years ago. Which 2 are still babies, but when old enough will attend this school on a positive note. The four that have and are still attending have not only succeeded extremely, they have been challenged to extremes. Which only has made them stronger / better and more successful! This school is one of the best ever seen. My wife and I will do anything in our power to keep them continuing at this location till grad. day! The teachers and staff are dedicated and great to the growth of our children. Oh yea, all my kids personally have individually expressed how much they want to stay in Hart Ransom.

I pulled my children out of this school because they did not challenge my child at his reading and math level. My child was a first grader reading at a higher level (the teacher did not tell me what level he was in because she tested every child at the same low level). I took my child to get assessed else where and tested higher than 1st grade level. Why have a parent teacher conference if the teacher can't tell me what reading level my child is? I couldn't believe it! This school does not offer GATE . The teacher my child had believed that every child had to be on the same page. In other words they do not challenge the children that are advanced. The principal was not supportive and is not approachable.

I have 3 kids that attend Hart Ransom and I absolutely love this school. They highly encourage parent involvment and want the kids to succeed. My daughter is going into the 8th grade and has been there since Kidnagarten. They are interdistrict transfers and I drive across town just so they can go there!! I wouldn't have it any other way:)

I have 2 boys that go here, my oldest is in 4th and my youngest is in K. I have loved every year at this school. My oldest is pretty good so I can't say I have had a lot of experience with the support room but in the few times I have Mrs. Harty is pretty good about nipping it in the butt A.S.A.P. There will always been things that I may not agree with how it's handled but when I ask my other friends who's kids go to surrounding schools, it makes me thankful that I am here. I have loved every teacher we have had so far and I really enjoy the office ladies as well. Parents would be lucky if their kids can go to this school.

I absolutely love this school! The teachers are wonderful and caring. They always have fun things going on. A lot of the parents get involved. My kids have been here for 3 years already and I hope I don't ever have to move because I would love for them to stay here until they finish the 8th grade! Thank you Hart Ransom Staff for being so great!

I would like to see a different approach to discipline instead of pulling cards. I have seen children left out of icecream parties because they pulled out cards. They had to sit back and watch (a couple cried as this went on). I would like to see a conflict resolution program on site and a social emotional curriculum placed.

My son is a transfer and I wouldn't have it any other way. He is now in 3rd grade and I have loved every one of his teachers, they have all been great. I would definatly recommend this school to everyone I know.

My daughter has attended HR for the past 4 years. I found all the teachers to be genuinely caring about the children in their classrooms. The children learn the standards set by the state in an encouraging and supportive environment. There is opportunity to learn Spanish, library time, computer classes, and PE. There is an excellent after school program as well. Extracurricular activities are provided to the children in the way of sports and music. The school also values me as a parent and encourages me to actively participate in my child's education.

The teachers genuinely care about the students academically. The school goes far and beyond in many ways. They not only teach them reading and math, but life skills. Its about encouraging young children into becoming successful adults. School is not just work, its fun learning.

My child attended hart ransom for her kindergarten year and she had wonderful teachers and every day she would come home and say she had a great day. The school has many fun activities, our favorite was the Dr Seuss reading night.

My son has attended Hart Ransom for 5 years and it has been a real positive experience. He has enjoyed his teachers and as a mother I have too. They have taught standards in a way that is understandable for children and challenges them to reach high expectations and master the content. The small school community has been nurturing for him and I am pleased tlhat my attends a school like this, where students come first.

My daughter is in kindergarten now in the 03/04 school year. Her teacher, Mrs. Visser does a great job. They have so much material to cover. She has homework 2 times/wk, plus a reading log as well as other projects for after school. I think Mrs. Visser does a great job with school work and discipline. She keeps them motivated and interested. I would also like to add that I and my family were former students of Hart-Ransom. I find that many of the current students are 2nd generation families.

In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California.
