This school has been more than willing to work with me to address my highly gifted child's needs. They have an excellent 'SWIM' teaching model, to allow each student to attend the class that best suits his/her needs and abilities (and they can shift up to 4 times a year, if needed). In addition, my child is able to do art, dance, music and theater in the studio time each week, plus there are theater, dance and music programs available, with annual performances. The parents, teachers and administration work very well together, with almost no drama - something that seems all too common elsewhere. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to go to Buena Vista.

I love this school! The teachers, staff, and students were very friendly! They teach very well in English and math, and the school in general is perfect! I also loved the principle! This is the best school ever!!!

I have 3 kids that went to this school. I think this is the best choice if you live in the area. Very big on all styles of art!!! My kids love this school. A+++

The teachers and supporting staff at this school are wonderful. It has been such a blessing that my son has been able to attend this school since Kindergarten. He gets tons of one on one attention from his teacher and has excelled because of it.

This is our second year at Buena Vista and we love it! The entire teaching staff is always involved everything the kids do. My son is only in first grade but I believe they focus on academics alot. I look forward to spending many years at Buena Vista.

The new principal is focusing too much on the arts and dance. The kids are not reading to the level they need to be. Compared to other schools the are behind. If you want your child to focus on academics, this is not the school. If your focus is arts and dance, this school is perfect.

I guess if you look at the dates there old!..I know for a fact the the school has come back a long way .They have the arts back with the new principal its getting back with shows etc.Etc. Send your kid its really worth it. Parent gil garcia

Unfortunately, the arts here has gone way down. It is justified now as 'arts integrated where possible'. Really sad with the amount of interested parents that this school is nowhere near potential!

I think they are behind in math and english. As for the arts I don't feel they get more there than at any other public school. I don't think the parents are very involved.

This is the best choice I have done for my children. Not only because the education is good but also because the teacher's caring for any student success is wonderful. There's 20 kids per classroom and the people that work and volunteer there are very nice and friendly to the point the children feel well protected it there. I'a very happy for having the opportunity to have a school of this magnitude. This school is on the scale of 100. If your looking for a school where your child could have a nice, good education and also interact with the different aspects of art. Please try this school.
