My Family has 6 students at this school and 1 that graduated last year it s a great school. A lot of parents that complained about the school don t get involved with their kids and school. Our first student that came to this school was 5 years ago and we had nothing but good to say about everyone at this school
No school culture can truly be defined in any significant way--until the experiences of each family is well understood. Today's students learn much more differently then students just a few yrs. older. As new parents to the school, we are gratified with the quality of technology - the overall quality of learning - communication with instructors - sense of community - social culture - enrollment process. All positive. Kudos to Saint Benedict's for raising the bar and improving on standards.
I have two children at this school. They both started in kindergarten. I am very happy with the staff, teachers and especially the principal and vice principal. I have no complaints on the education they are getting. I love the religious aspect of it. And I enjoy the time we spend with other families that have children in the school. It feels like a big family. We love St. Benedict!
Rude Parents and Staff they think they are holier than thou! Kids seem happy though, and too expensive for my taste to many hours to donate too many fundraisers!!!
It's been a verydisappointing last 2 years for me, as a parent...mychild not doing too well; communication between my child's science teacher & me is not very good. It seems she's always behind on posting missing work or any other problems on the school website. She doesnt seem able to handle teaching very well.
It is dedicated to the children and involves their parents with real valuees and community responsibility.
I actually agree with the last parent that our child is a reflection of us. It's very important that parents are involved in their child's education. I am mother who works full time( over 40 hrs a week), and I have time to check over my child's homework as well as helping my child get ready for upcoming tests. My child has been on the honor I list since kindergarten. However, I can say that the school is not challenging enough. In addition to that, 70% of the staff members are unfriendly. Many times, I have greeted the staff only to be ignored by them! I was very disapointed to hear one of the staff members at St. Benedict rolled her eyes at my child after asking if she can use the phone. This was the day that they got off early at 1pm. The eye rolling was unnessary!
To all those parents who have talked negatively about St. Benedicts, remember that your kids are your reflection. If your children are not what you expect them to be, do not blame the staff. They are human and will make mistakes just like we do. That is why communication is of vital importance everywhere. Both my children and my spouse are satisfied with the Academics and Sports program as well as the spiritual knowledge we have encountered at St. Benedicts. My only disatisfaction is based on the grading for the Music Class. I find it a bit penalizing for a child who does not see Music as his or her forte. We should focus on the academics that will benefit you in the future. I'm glad we made the change to to St. Benedicts 4 years ago. Sunday Mass is also very pleasant to attend.
My child is a 7th grader at St. Benedict school, and we are very proud to say that we will return for her last year. In our expierience the school has only gotten better year after year since her Kindergarten start. The Catholic surroundings are a big plus. Academically she has excelled with the help of all the teachers. I do reccommend the school, though my only complain is the overcrowding. We should have 20-25 students per class.
My child attends st.benedicts school and i am very proud of her. She has excelled in many subjects and i thank the staff for that. She apllies herself to many sports and clubs. Their tutoring after school helps the children out alot. I would recommend this school to any parents looking for a great school for their students that are having hard times in certain sudjects. They are strict at some points but i know my child will be taken care of at all times. She has been through alot of drama there but now she is an 8th grader and she is doing great there. She has a 3.8 g.p.a. and has not been any lower than that. Shes has gone to this excellent school since her kinder year and i am glad. Go Bruins!
