This is an amazing school. The teachers are wonderful and caring. The principal (Ms Pam and Mr Ron) is wonderful. I always felt like they were family and I was just leaving my children with a caring loving family member. The school has a great balance with academics and fun activities. They provide great activities for the children. They have a music teacher everyday and she is so wonderful and caring. The children love the music program. Their Halloween parade is amzing and very old fashioned. They have so many other activities it is great. I must also mention the summer camp, it is wonderful and my children will be attending every summer. They have a great combination of activities and school. They also have field trips, swimming, archery, arts and crafts, dance. Both my children learned to swim at Happy Day School. If you are looking for a wonderful school where you can trust your children will be well taken care of and will be learning a great deal Happy Day is the school for you. Also check their teachers, they are wonderful and have been there for a long time too. I think that speaks volumes!!! In summary Happy Day School is wonderfull!! My children miss it!!

Diamond in the rough. Happy Day is a hidden oasis. Step onto the campus and you leave the world behind. My kids go there in the summer and talk about it everyday. Ms Pam is awesome...she's attentive and treats every child with respect.

This is such a wonderful school with a family environment. I was a single mother working full-time when my son attended Happy Day. Finding a school that not only gave my son a great education, but taught family values and respect was a gift from above! I loved being able to sit in and assist his teachers when I had the time not to mention join him on all of his field trips. Had I been able to keep him enrolled there until high school, I most definitely would have! Even if just for one summer, you must give your child the experience of a summer at Happy Day!

I have been attending this school ever since i was in third grade.I have made so many new people and it has been like a second home to me.The teachers are great and everyday is really exciting!!I don't understand how a parent could not like this for there child...i have learned over this past summer that they learn new stuff every day and become higher on a acedemic level! This is a school for your child and whoever that parent was ,was very confused about what the program is all about

This is in to response to the person who said we did not watch the children. Our summer program began June 20. I wonder how this person knew our class sizes if we hadn't even started our program yet? As, for money hungry I believe not. The amount of children that we have successfully served and taken care of for 65 years is enormous. We don't announce how many children we have had on scholarship, because their parents lost their jobs or the family was struggling. I'm sorry this person got the wrong impression. Their assessment couldn't be further from the truth. 65 Years....... Speaks volumes.

I have been going to happy day for about 10 years now and i have no plans to stop going! I am volunteer there now showing the children an awsome expeience like i have for the past 10 years. The teachers are very helpful to the children! They arent there to just be mean and tell you what to do. They actually help the children on the skills that they need the most help on. To me Happy Day became my home away from home.

Happy Days can be described as many things: fun, RESPONSIBLE, unforgotten memories and lasting friendships. Overall this school knows the significance of family- values. Being a family owned school for 65 years. the faculty and staff teach their students the importance of family appreciation. How exactly would I know? I was a student there always being reminded that to thank my family for the hard work they have done to place me in a 5 star school such as Happy Days and receive an education so esoteric that only the few parents that put their children in this would only fathom. Happy Days has been a BIG contributing factor to me being the young woman that I am today. And I know that when I walk through the doors I will be welcomed with warm and loving arms by the faculty and staff because I am family and they know how important family is.

As a parent I found not only an elementary school, but an after school program and a summer camp program all in a one package. For a full time working mom, this was heaven sent. The leadership at Happy Day School was outstanding. The caring staff was more like family. My daughter learned how to swim, water ballet and enjoyed every minute of it. When she was old enough, she became a junior camp counselor then eventually a swim and water ballet instructor. If you are looking for a smaller, intimate and family oriented nursery, kindergarten and elementary school in the Monterey Park, Alhambra, San Gabriel, Rosemead area and if you work in downtown Los Angeles try checking this school out. You can get off the 10 freeway at Atlantic and hop back on to head to work. Raising a child(ren) is teamwork of parents, teachers and care givers. Happy Day School is the remedy we full time parents need and when your child(ren) are happy going to a interactive school, that makes us happy parents, too! I just can't say enough about Happy Day School ^o^ You just gotta go and check it out yourself. The 60+ years of dedicated owners still striving for the best in our children. You're the best, HDS!

My children have had amazing summers at Happy Day School for 5+ years and have gained self-confidence in themselves and grown immensely over the years they attended Happy Day. The teachers and staff care for the children unlike any other daycare or school in such a way that the children are always motivated and excited to try new things. Happy Day School is the best!

A childhood experience i will never forget. Ive been going to this school since I was 3 years old, now I am working there now. Happy Day School is a family owned business where everyone is friendly there. From day one to the day you leave, all teachers and staff are there to help you and take care of your child everyday. Summer is the best time at that place. We have science camp, summer school, field trips, and many more. I never left this place and every year is a memory I will never forget. This place is my second home basically. Ignore the people with the negative comments. If you want to see for yourself come on over and meet the wonderful staff and our programs we have throughout the year. I wil never forget my experiences and memories I had here and when I have kids of my own this is where they will be going during the summer!

This is a great school for parents who want their child raised right. It's one of those places that children beg to come back to in the summer even when they are in high school. The kids learn so much and most importantly, they end up being really good people because Happy Day is like a really big family. One summer a family even sent for their relative in China who was 10 years old so he could have the happy day experience. He didn't know much English and he still had a wonderful summer. Make sure you check out the summer science program. The kids do real experiments.

I love this school!!! There are always so many fun activities (especially summer). The school makes sure your child gets everything he/she needs. Your child will have so much fun and build so many new friendships... I know I have. The school makes you feel right at home.

I grew up at Happy Day School and attended starting at the age of 4. I attended during the school year for pre-k and kindergarten, and returned every summer for day camp after that. I believe this school gave me an opportunity to learn about being independent, obedient, and to grow into a strong person. I have two older sisters who also attended for a long time as well, and we all graduated high school and now attend universities. All of my friends who also grew up at Happy Day School are now at top-rated colleges, and we all have agreed that we only got here because of our early start in academics at Happy Day. Also, growing up at Happy Day, I've maintained amazing relationships with some of the other kids who attended while I did. We all keep in contact to this day.

My child's first year teacher was caring and communicated well with me. Unfortunately, the following year, it was the opposite! Administration was also unprofessional, unwilling to listen to concerns, and would only allow me to observe at specific times. This went against what they told me when I enrolled my child. I was told that I would be able to observe at anytime and that there was an open door policy. I pulled my child out of the school before the year ended when administration yelled at me in front of my children. I am not the only parent who has come across this problem with this administrator. Others have pulled their children over similar incidents.

Happy Day School is amazing. My child has attended summer school here for the last 3 summers and thinks the teachers are fun and exciting. They had field trips every week. I'm bringing my child back this summer!

This is the second year I am sending both of my children to this school. The school itself and equipment looks really old but they have a nice heated swimming pool and convinence hours for summer. The staff members are really nice and both of my children love that school so much and don't want me to send them anywhere else. They met a lot of good friends there and get to swim everyday.

My best childhood memories were made at this school. The teachers were amazing and I feel I continued to be a great student because of the foundation I built at this school.

I have two children who have attended this school and one is still there. We love the school because of their caring staff and the huge playground with a heated swimming pool. My 7 years old has leaned how to swim there and my 4 years old is taking swimming lesson for the second summer there. We love the school and their summer camp.
