Bay View teachers are wonderful and Bay View is a great community school! Unfortunately, it is scheduled to be closed in one year due to the constant opening/closing/reopening and redistricting of schools throughout this district over the past decade. Bay View is the latest casualty and the students will now have to attend an underperforming school within the district. It's a sad loss as it was one of the last two remaining high performing schools in the district.

It's a true neighborhood school, I love the tight-knit community. And the teachers and administration are amazing.

The teamwork and professionalism of the teachers that are willing to take on so much (student load increases, staffing shortages) with a smile and a positive attitude. My student does not feel the burden of the overcrowded classrooms due to the teachers working together to give as little ratios as often as possible. They are the BEST!

Because it is an excelent school w/ a beautiful view of the bay.The teachers are wonderful & caring. It is a true elementary school K-6. It isn't enormous, and has a lot of parent participation. This is what truly makes it great. It's like an extension of your own family. No other school in the area compares to the high standards of Bay View Elementary.

In such troubled times as these, Bay View has managed to create an old fashioned neighborhood school that serves and diverse and dynamic population. Our school succeeds because everyone does their part to make it the best... administration, teachers, parents, students, and our neighborhood partners. We have a gorgeous view of the Monterey Bay from our windows, but the real magic is what happens inside the school. It is really a very special place. I am HONORED to teach there.

Bay View is great because of the staff and the parents as a whole. We all work together to ensure our children have what they need to further their education. I am proud my children attend Bay View Elementary School.
