Los Perales Elementary School

What is the review good for? I need to see the API scores for all of the school in the district as well as the country.

At a time when schools are struggling with greatly reduced funding, the dedicated teachers, staff and parents of LP continue to provide a superior education for its students. This commitment to high quality education (as evidenced in consistently high test scores) is a hallmark of Lamorinda schools and LP is a shining example.

I've worked for elementary schools throughout Contra Costa County, including all public elementary schools in Moraga, and Walnut Creek, Wagner Ranch in Orinda and schools of the Contra Costa County Office of Education. LP and Indian Valley are superior choices.

Los Perales is an amazing school within an amazing school district. Lamorinda is a highly desirable place to live not only because of its beauty and proximity ot SF, but the schools are the best in the state. Housing prices are high, but in return you get a private school education for the cost of public. Los Perales rises to the top. Anyone living in this neighborhood is lucky to have this school at their fingertips.

Academic Quality is very strong. There are many available extra curricular activities. The parent support is usually excellent. Teachers are top-notch.

High parent involement. Great principal, all the kids and adults love him! High academic standards- children are closely monitored, if they start to fall behind or are gifted, steps are immediately taken to correspond. Any complaints are taken very seriously (for example bullying, which is rare). Teachers are top notch, my only complaint is that some have been there forever and are possibly a bit tired of teaching, I would like to see more younger teachers. An A+ school!
