My son has attended since K, and will enter 6th grade this fall. We've watched the school decline in communication, utilizing parent/teacher ideas to offset state budget issues, since the former principal Vergara moved to Questa. With his move, the best of teachers followed. My 5th grade teacher, Ms. Michel, was awesome. But, as I watch more teaches leave due to concerns of middle school, we're now looking also. The biggest concern is teacher particpation. I've heard from several parents/students, that assignments are written on the board, but not taught. No real interaction. For some reason, 12 years in the world means you need less instruction. It worries and saddens me.

My daughter has done very well at this school. The teachers that she has had were very caring. For a public school they do a great job.

My child is in 5th grade at Wicklund and I have to honestly say after moving from the bay area I was a little anxious about finding a good school. I can state Wicklund is the best school that my child has attended. The teachers are very involved and the other parents are completely involved.

This is a good school. Our children have been attending since it opened. There has been a decline in the skills/standards taught since it has opened. The school seems unorganized - little communication to familys, teachers, office.

My kid has been going to school and is in 4th grade. This school was good before, but I see decline in standards recently. We hope Teachers can rally and keep up the level that it was couple of years ago.

It's really a great school and great environment. Our two girls are attending this school and they very much like their school/staff that they don't want to move.
