My family has been with PACT through 2 children. We have been with them through 3 campuses and multiple Principals. The philosophy continues to ring true through it all. Hands on learning has been fantastic for my 2 children. The teachers all believe in the philosophy. They all teach it in their own way, so you will not see the exact same style or methods in every class, but you can see how they are teaching the whole child. They are using best practices that matches they way they teach. It comes across as great individual teachers trying their best to teach every individual student. Stevenson has been wonderful, although it is a bit small - there is definite need for more space - computer lab; bigger library; more storage. But, the Principal has really been doing a great job.
PACT is a wonderful nurturing environment for kids of all ages. Our family has been with pact for 5 years now and we have had a fantastic time.
We're so happy to be part of Stevenson PACT community. Our daughter says that PACT is the best school in the entire world, she loves going there every single days. Wonderful teachers, caring parents, smart and respectful kids. Kids learn a lot of various things and not just to get good scores but to be good people and friends. As a working parent I never thought I'd have time and energy to participate in school activities but my family truly enjoys seeing our daughter in the classroom and observing how she and her friends progress throughout the year. This is also a great learning opportunity for us. We looked into many schools around but even private schools in the area do not provide what PACT does.
We just love that our son goes to Stevenson. He is getting a well-rounded education that focuses on the whole child, not just test scores. But even with taking time from his kindergarten day last year for lots and lots of extras, from gardening to science to arts to field trips, he made significant progress in reading and math. His teacher was expert at making learning happen in every minute of the day, no matter what the topic was. And as a parent, I really value feeling like a significant part of his school day and the whole school environment. PACT is a special place and I'm thankful that my son has such a wonderful option in a public school!
I have two children that have graduated from Stevenson and my third child is still there. Stevenson offers wonderful hands-on learning experiences, many off-site educational opportunities and a great teaching staff. The community is warm, inviting and involved.
Going to school in the morning is never a battle! My kids love learning at PACT. The teachers are top-notch, innovative and imaginative. They foster a love of learning by making classes interesting and doing a lot of interesting projects. The children take a lot of field trips and those experiences get interwoven into the learning environment. This school is not for everyone because running a school like this one requires a certain amount of commitment from every family. But, to me, it is worth every minute of my time.
Stevenson PACT is a parent-participation, progressive elementary school. The kids learn in hands-on ways, and the families here are all very involved. The faculty is top-notch!
